We-shop

Has anyone bought anything from the WE-SHOP yet? I was saving all my WEN for the 'speed' option, hoping for some sliding bar where you can change the game speed, a la ISS.

Instead, what happens is you get two speed options (accessible when you pause a match) - the normal default one, and some crazily fast one where all the players are running around like Benny Hill.

Just when you thought Konami had finally got it right, they go and miss the point.

I see no point for the 'Benny Hill' option at all since it renders the game unplayable, and since the general concensus appears to be that the "wide" angle is the best camera angle to play from, the game slows down excruciatingly during goal-mouth incidents due to the amount of players on screen, yet flies comically in midfield. In short: crap.

I think the transfer option is the only feature in the shop that is worth it's money. Balls and Background music and hairs are nice, but not necessary, I will wait for the patch till Sunday, and then I'm gonna start the ML.

Heh - when I first loaded up WE7, my very first impression was how much control you had over your players, and at the same time, that it was perhaps a little too pacey for its own good.

So, I thought the speed option would tone it down a bit, for the ultimate playing experience.

As it turned out, I bought the option, then found out how to operate it. I initially thought there were three settings - default, fast, and slow - and cycled through them that way. As it turned out, the 'slow' option didn't exist, it was just how the default option felt having played it on 'fast'.

Having played it more, the default speed doesn't seem so fast anymore, I've just grown used to it. I'm a Master League player by heart, though, and the language barrier is a little too much to satisfactorily play ML, so I've gone back to WE6FE until PES3 arrives (although I may be tempted back if a patch surfaces).
