A Konami blog has been posted which reveals what I originally assumed, that the WEPES2007 release in North America next year will be effectively the same title as released earlier this year in Japan. The only difference being North Americans, like gamers in Europe, will get the game released on XBox 360 also.



WE10 - Japan (only PS2)
PES6 - Europe (October 2006 > PS2, PSP, PC, DS, X360)
WE:pES 2007 - North America (January 2007 > PS2, PSP, PC, DS, X360)

What u think about the PS3 version. I'm thinking nothings released either because theyre setting it apart from the rest in making it better, or waiting to announce it as a launch title. makes sense as its coming out for everything else in october, including x360, but PS3 aint out till november. what u think?

I'm happy with WE, but WEPES does sound pretty ruff :tongue: . Jan thats an month earlier than usual cuz they've been coming out every Feb here. I don't mind waiting as I'm still really enjoying my WE9 and by the time WEPES comes out I'll be ready for an upgrade :happy:

Such bad branding. In North America people pay attention to games with simple names (ex: Fifa 2007). Something "Pro Winning Eleven 2007" sounds like an arcade-ish game (ex: NHL Hitz, NFL Blitz). Why don't they just call it "Soccer 2007", "World Soccer 2007", and translated depending on the country, ie. "Futebol 2007"

Also, why don't they release this game NOW, in time for world cup soccer. Their sales would go through roof. I'm dying to play an updated soccer game on my system.

I'm in Aus at the moment, and was under the impression that PE6 would be released come oct/nov (as per usual) and then the "upgraded version" pes 2007 would be released early next year and would just be the same game but with improved graphics for the xbox360/ps3

maybe they would call it winning eleven 11, and that would be confusing,

all i no is that you can order it from play.com, i dont no if they ship it world wide or not though

I tried to buy from there, during checkout the list of countries are only in Europe.
