Konami-Europe what have you done?!? :shocking: WE10 was perfect, the game speed needed adjusting, thats all (maybe a the AI too)

Ive had PES6 for 2 days now, i like the game allot but the shooting is absolutely awful, its worse than PES5!! and when you pass to another player the ball rolls a little too slow, sometimes doesn't even get to the player! also its much harder to take on players (except when your using Ronaldinho, Henry etc..) i know Konami want the gameplay to be as real as possible, but it takes the fun out of playing! i can live with the slow passing etc, but not the shooting

Ive owned every single PES/ISS and i have NEVER moaned about any of these games, they were all perfect (at the time) but im unhappy with PES6.

Its a big improvement to PES5, but not WE10

Anyone who owns WE10 agree?

I didn't like WE10 it was far too arcadey and easy to take people on. I like that in PES6 you have to use passing to grind out scoring chances. Also the shooting is better imho, you can't score 8/10 times with long rangers anymore. It's alot more realistic and fun that way. Now players fluff shots from 10 yards and some long range shots go completely balls up which i find adds to the realism, but i don't think the realism has taken out the fun. I only wish the crowd would cheer when a shot goes badly wrong like in real-life.

Don't have PES6, so I can't say much, but I've patched my WE10 with all LFP and EPL teams and all other extra stuffs. I love it. I'm not in a hurry to get PES6 then.

I admit the shootings different and it's kinda wierd and yes the ball rolls VERY slow when passed. But I love the players AI when they stick away 1 on 1 chances.

To me, I can't live with the bad shooting style. But I think not all the players do. It depends on the player whom you use to shot, doesn't it?

Well i own it,and basically they are not so different but i agree that WE 10 had more pace more speed,it felt more aggressive in a scary way!!!And the shots were absolutely beautiful to watch, but now on PES 6 i think most of the gameplay elements have been ported to what we now play as PES 6,(free kicks quick play L1+R1,most of the moves)but not all of them, basically in the menus also i can`t see big differences International Challenge starting background is exactly the same as WE 10 and the music also, the gameplay is more friendly in PES 6, WE 10 was raw and beautiful, but PES 6 is also good,i don`t know i must play it for sometime to draw my final conclusions and thoughts about which one is better.

P.S.
But don`t forget in few months from now WE 11!!!!I don`t want to spoil it for all of you,who now just bought PES 6,so enjoy playing PES 6.

Thanks god for someone notice that. I agree 100%. They ruin the gameplay. WE10 is by far better than pes6, and if you have a patched we10 english with lcences, correct names and etc there is no reson to deal with pes6. If you play pes6 with multitap with 4 human players then will notice that the pes6 is much slower and worse than we10

I don't agree with you, due to the simple fact that you have to work the space in order to get good shots away in PES6. Me and my friend have already mastered it, and have already got plenty of saved replays of beastly 30 yard drives. With some unexpected players aswell, Gonzalez etc. May i once more recommend Recoba though, for long range power shots, hes awesome, as usual. It seems that in every PES game hes been one of the best players. :)

BELIEVE
WE10 was far from superb, I've yet to play PES6 yet though. WE10 was far too fast, which made it completely unrealistic, especially with the scorelines being 8-7 and the like. In WE10 the keepers were non-existant, they were literally just awful, and from what I've heard many times, they're improved for PES6 which is great. The dribbling in WE10 was disgusting too, that is the correct word to use, disgusting. You could run with the ball magnetically attached to your players foot, even if it's just a half decent player, and run the length off the pitch dribbling round the whole team. It was terribly unrealistic and so easy that the enjoyment wasn't there after the first week of playing.

Threads like this are created every year, then soon enough they slowly disappear as people have come to realise they actually need to get used to the game. The transition period.

Yeh i know what your saying, i agree with most the things your saying, but if Konami-Europe only reduced the game speed, made the AI better (harder) and improved the keepers slightly, then PES6 would of been fantastic.

I had a few more games on PES6 last night on "Top Class", and the game is great, like i said in my first post, i have NEVER moaned about any PES series. But the shooting on this game is terrible. Ive been playing it for 3 days and I've only scored about 4 goals from outside the box, and im a bloody veteran, its even harder to score 1-on-1's with the keeper (with the inside-foot shot) :shocking: most shots go wide or the keeper saves them, its more realistic, but it takes ALLOT of fun out the game when most matches finishes 1-0, 0-0 or 1-1.

but, ill be playing PES6 regardless, I'm sure ill get used to the crappy shooting :crymore:

I'd rather have a 1-0 victory than a 6-5 one. That way, it's more realistic and it actually means something when you score.

I'm sure it's much more difficult to make the AI harder to beat, easily said but Konami create the game. Regarding the keepers, all keepers make bad mistakes, Schmeichel made quite a few, I wouldn't want an unbeatable keeper. And by making the long range shooting more difficult, it also actually means something when you score them, gives you more satisfaction as in reality not 1 player will score from outside the box week in week out, it just doesn't happen.

I think the game is a big improvement. You can really feel the difference between players. Huddlestone (tottenham DMF) really fills his role of getting the ball, passing it well and going back into position. Lennon, at first seemed slow and couldnt get round players, but now after i have had some practice, if you run at a defender and either move past him with speed or do a trick, getting round a defender is easy. It takes skill though, and as defending is better, you will be tackled. Basically, if you have momentum, it doesnt take much to fly past the defender. To defend against momentum, you have to stand off the player and then run with him - you can shepard him out wide or force him to turn around or you can take advantage of the fact that in PES6, a shoulder barge is not a yellow card offence, just a good way of getting the ball.

With the shooting. It is interestingly hard, but if you get time and space (which you have to work for) then you can have great shots. My friend had time and space with Seadorf and he cannoned an unstoppable shot of the angle of the bar and post. You need to play nice passing football to get the space and then have the shots.
