Don't get confused by Americanised dating.
That could have meant the same date as the original but written differently.

But I'm not sure, just a suggestion.

WE6I was released in mid March 2003.

From what I understand, WE6I is a slightly modified version of PES2. Konami has tweaked the AI a bit (to get out the bugs), but have not substantially overhauled the game. This is according to people that have played both games, although I have to admit I am not one of them.

Nevertheless, the rosters are the same as in PES2.
