Ok here`s the deal. WE7:I (USA) is not the same game as WE7:I (Japan) is. You people get confused with this NTSC thing when in fact Japan uses NTSC as well except they add J to it so it becomes NTSC-J. WE7:I (USA) version will be 99.5% similar to PES3, maybe slightly polished but that`s it..same with the Korean version. Now, the Chinese version along with Japanese one are the best ones so far. Look at the WE7:I (USA) screenshots, you can clearly see Adidas UEFA C.L ball on the pitch, but in WE7:I (Japan) the new "golden" adidas fevernova is used. In American version, you won`t be able to change the keepers outfits and won`t be able to edit the stadium names..for example Trad Bricks = Old Trafford.. So let`s clear something out. if you want the best with most recent updates (better improved gameplay) just order WE7:I (Japan) from play-asia and that`s it. The game fully supports English language, as well as German, French, Italian, Spanish etc. Yes, the entire game will switch to choosen language, the commentry, all menu`s etc. ( All of this info above is confirmed by play-asia.com and how do I know it, they sen`t me an e-mail a week ago. )

i do believe the man is right. btw, play-asia.com has shipped my limited edition out yesterday!

Here's a mini-review by ClassicD over at evo-web, i'll post my impressions in about an hour:

GAMEPLAY:

The game is more in favour of passing now than dribbling, it is slightly more like PES/WE5FE in it's dribbling turning circle, but you can still dribble nicely. Passes are far crisper, through passing is also improved a lot.

Player response time is much improved, no longer do you have to wait on passes, or be dragged by the CPU to a pre-determined pathway, you have much more control.

Crossing is better.

Headers are much improved, you can now finally perform a clearing header instead of the head-tennis in WE7, and attacking headers can have much more venom in them as well.

Saw a wonderful animation for a volley shot, hit it as it dropped nearly vertical from a side-on position, reminded me of Zidane's goal in CL final Hampden.

Non-Gameplay:

Seems to load faster between screens.

One new stadium, Ennio Tardini (Parma).

New faces and hairstyles, seen Cristiano Ronaldo and new Beckham hair.

Overall opinion is that there are a lot of little tweaks, but the gameplay remains very close to WE7. The shift from dribbling to passing is much welcomed, as is the more manual player control when your selected player does not have the ball.

No Saha in Man U, but C Ronaldo, Bellion, Fletcher and Richardson are in there.

Only played one game so far, 3*s and couldn't get anywhere near the goal lol Its gonna take some getting used to I think but the new animations are evident. Gonna play some more now

Also there is a new ball available in the WE Shop by the looks of it.

For the first time ive seen the advantage rule being used to good effect. I fould a player but the ball ran to one of my opponents, he lost it about 3 seconds later and play was called back to the original foul. Class

Anyways.

I'm about to order WE7i (jap.) from Play-Asia, but I am a bit worried about doing so, since I've never played NTSC games on my PS2 before and don't know if it'll work. Will my Matrix chipped PS2 be able to read the NTSC-J? I'm tewwibly sowwy if this should be posted somewhere else..

A lot of frustration is washed away with that improvement, dannyboy, sweet! I want that game bad..

This does seems to be a great game have only played 3 games so far but like it alot faster and more powerful crosses nicer passing and more of the ball control which is wery nice ............ also the goalkeeper have some nice new animations just hope that it will nto take to long to geta working patch for the dresses and new chants .................and another thing ..... you can load up the names from your winning elevn 7 optionfile so you get real playernames otherwise all the names re in japanese maybe you can change it somewere havent looked that closely yet
