To be honest I couldn't care less what console it appears on. It's not like Sony pay me for loyalty, I buy the machine I like the games for, if this is X-Box or whatever in the future, so be it.

The same applies to me with football games. I have no allegiance to Konami (although I love their games) so if EA (or Codies, whatever) end up making a title better than PES, I'll be buying it.

thats true, but i feel a lot more connected with ps2 then xbox. And the controller of the ps2 is so smooth and much much better then the xbox controller. but youre right if we or pes only came out on the xbox i would probaby buy an xbox!

To be totally honest, controllers don't matter shit to me. I don't know if this is the case with others, but I find that a controller will never hamper my decision making when buying a console. It's so pointless. I find that I can get use to ANY controller.

Come on. Doesn't anyone remember the days when we were playing with bloody rectangular joypads?! :)

PS. GFK, have you given the Controller S a go? It's more suited to the PS2 controller using folk. Very comfortable, actually.

Well I used to have an xbox but i selled it, not because the controller, but for the games. I thought that there were not that many which i wanna play on the Xbox. The games which i want to play were all on the ps2. So i sold him a while ago and so i never have used controller S.

But for the controller i think its definately a difference between the xbox and ps2 controller. For example I think the xbox controller becomeing pretty heavy after a while. And i also hate the triggers i think shoulder buttons are much better. But thats all mine opinion.

Probably unrelated, but Konami have just recently expanded and opened up new development studios in LA. They've also been planning to make Konami more of a worldwide brand (hence the change of logo).

How is this related to PES? Bigger company = influx of cash = more licenses (maybe). :)

I'm not particularly bothered by licenses, although I can appreciate that many people like to have perfect player/team/stadiums names etc.

I'd rather Konami stay focused on gameplay first and foremost, then worry about licensing later. It's my belief that EA know that FIFA will always sell because of the license, and therefore they don't have to worry as much about the game, whereas ISS/WE?pro evo has its whole reputation built around the quality of its gameplay.

There are ppl who are take care off the licensing and ppl for the gameplay. I dont think that GameplayTeam are also dealing with the licensing problem.

Great, does that mean we'll be seeing FIFA evolution?

Licenses aren't my main concern either.
