WE7 playing in Black and White

I've had WE7 the last two days and unfortunately I've been enjoying (?) it in black and white. WE7 is my first japanese game so I'm not really that sure why its playing in black and white. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

...I have a chipped PS2.

cheers

I had the same problem. If your tv is relatively new then an RGB scart cable will fix it. But your TV must support RGB. Most new TV's do. I purchased the BLAZE Scart cable from Play.com for £12. Work's a treat with crystal clear picture. If for some reason your TV does not support RGB then your only other options is to buy a new TV or I purchase a modulator, which although goes through the aerial still gives a good picture and converts it to colour. This will only cost £5 and I have one that I didn't need in the end. But I suggest that if your TV has Scart and especially if it is a 21 inch TV, it should support RGB, therefore get the RGB Scart. The picture is definitely better. - Hope this helps.

Means your TV doesn't support NTSC so unless you buy a converter you'll need a new TV. WHen I first got WE7 my TV wasn't NTSC compatible but I'd been planning to buy a new one for ages so the very next morning I went and bought myself a new widescreen.

Calm down people. Let's not scare anyone now.

One of my TVs isn't NTSC compatible but using the cable from the barras site linked above, it runs foreign games in colour and great quality picture.
The right cable will do the job if you have a scart socket. If you don't have a scart socket, that is the only time you need to get a new TV.

Thanks Lads, thats great. My TV does have a scart socket so I'll try the cable and modulator as well to be safe.

Fair Play!!

I believe the modulator is only for the normal RF cable (like the aerial one) so it'd be better just to get the scart cable as the picture on that would be far superior and you will use only this one.

Yeah, Zy is right, if you've got a scart socket get an RGB cable. I did both, hence I have a spare modulator going - waste of £10.
