WE8: arranging your players at free kicks

i haven`t searched this forum and maybe the option was already in WE7 and is already known to people. if so, sorry for repeating it. here it goes:

you can control how many players will go to the opponent`s goal at standard situations. like all-offensive where even some offensive defenders and defensive midfielders will come into the penalty box or leave just the strikers in the box. under the free kicker`s name there is a thin bar consisting of 5 segments. they`re colors from blue to red. hold L2 and press R1. each R1-click will increase the number of your players that position themselves in front of the goal. if you want the players to leave the penalty box press R2 while holding L2 (strikers excluded). color red is all-out-attack and blue is the opposite, defensive (only the strikers will remain in the box).

very nice option this, if you are not trying to net every free kick directly.

This has been in the game since the ISS versions. It is for the team attack attitude. Not read about this interpretation of it before, with regards to player numbers. Interesting.

Dats cool... I remember reading somewhere that the player standing next to the ball while taking a free kick can lay off the ball for you is it true? But i don't seem to be able to do it, the player juz runs and steps over the ball.

Great stuff...I didn't know the bars indicated how many people are in the box....but now that you mention it...seems pretty logical to me bonk!!!

Mmm...not sure about controlling how many people in the defensive wall though gedo.
