My observations - if you edit the teams and do your transfers DO IT BEFORE you start your ML!!! Otherwise it will not change during your ML. I.e. move Djibril Cisse to Liverpool, and in your ML he will be there.

Obviously, this doesn't help when you just play a quick game or tourney with Liverpool as they just drop back to the game's default lineup.



no no, even if you play just a match or tournament the roster will be affected by your previous transfers in the edit mode. the only thing you have to do additionally is to edit the team`s starting eleven manually. just tried it, and on my screen cisse and baros are both at liverpool in the starting lineup.

...when the screen with the 3 options comes up (after you selected ML and then new game), just go for the middle one and you should have your team`s squad up-to-date as the game will take the info from the current state of things in the main edit mode.

Im halfway thru my second season and I cant find all the teams in the transfer. For eg. I cannot find FC Porto. In my transfer page of all the clubs shown, there are only 72 clubs, however there should be more. At the WEFA ranking page, there are only 72 clubs. PLease HELP.....

that`s because only those teams which were slotted at the 4 leagues in ML league perticipate in transfers. means, if FC porto was not in one of the 4 1st division leagues (or is actually in division 2) then the club will not be displayed on the transfer market. my tip:
1. for ex. you want to get deco from porto (default he`s still at porto, not at barca), but porto is in division 2 (while you are in division 1) or not even in one of the 4 ML leagues. to display all other players (like from south american clubs which might not be in the ML) choose transfers, then 1st option, then 4th option (`choose from teams`), and on the screen with all the displayed teams click the 2nd from bottom team (well it`s not a team, there is a `o` in the middle of the icon, means `others`), and now you have all the other players outside of the ML 1st division teams (plus on the last pages you also have the fantasy squad names). now that the names are not sorted, click :square: , then choose the 3rd option (`sort according nationality`). now you find the page with the portugese players and hopefully, as in this example, the player deco (or the one you wanted).

...is to by the ML league modifying option from the WEN shop (second from bottom) for 2000 (was it?). this way you can create all the 4 division 1 leagues yourself.

has anybody been using the 'behind' player cam ? you get it by opening it in the WEN options! I love it, it realy gives you a sense of being there.

I know it would be silly, but i just wanna post this so that no one will make the same mistake i made... During the off period of the season, (week39 to 44) where you can increase your players' stats up by training, all the training does is just only increase the exp. points (the blue bar) but not the players stat (no matter what the player's curve is) for instance, when the player's exp bar is 96% and you train him in specific fields that increase that stat, all it does is just only reset the exp bar to zero when it reached 100& and NOT increase the player's stat. the only way to increase is to play friendly matches. the best way to use the training option during the off-season period is to increase player's exp bar when it is low (0 - 50)%
And the other mistake i made was, when i train my players in the off-season period, i thought the more "OK", the more exp points i will get, but the fact is even you only got 1 "OK" the rate that increase is still the same, so don't waste so much time in trainings...
the last thing is when you quit training after you had trained in a topic with a player, you cannot train the player again in the same topic in the same week, if you do so, the player will not increase his exp points.

well it`s not a football manager game but still, konami could have put some more substance into these new options (lazy bums).

Ahh...I get you bonk..thanks for this. And it's great it you can correct things...as I started my ML before the transfer window closed!!!

Mmm...Didn't know about the training of players above 100% thing...seems to work for me so far...with the training giving me both exp and increase in stats. I DO the training before the pre-season match...does the order make any difference?
