If you have a good look then you see that on the right "kicker select" is deselected and on the left you see that "kicker select" is still deselcted only it's an option lower.

I only want to help with some translations, but I give it up, some of you guys cannot compare one pic to another pic and notice the different.

don`t know if you already figured it out but the 3rd option on your screen means `stock current formation`. just happen to speak the language and saw your despair.

Yeah I've seen it, coz I use the Fernando 0.4 patch. This patch tramslate most menu's. So after all I was right in the first place.

Excuse me...would anybody know why there is a third (unlisted/untranslated) menu that I can't understand on the MATCH menu? It is missing on the Superpuffy screenshots. Thanks for your help.

I think it says to confirm something or other...but not sure what!!

tactics

someone got a translation for the tactics like counter attack, total offence etc?

it`s a while since your post, maybe you already found out yourself. if not, here the tactics (sorry, i don`t have a digicam so cannot post you a pic
:
a. go to formation settings (aka team settings)
b. choose 5th option
c. choose 1st option
d. the tactics here are (where you can assign buttons):
01 - no tactics
02 - normal
03 - central breakthrough
04 - right sideattack
05 - left sideattack
06 - opposite sideattack (your players will lure the defense to one side, then quickly change cross the ball to the other side)

07 - change side (attacking players before the defensive midfielders will swap sides, according the guide book ideal formations for this are 4-4-2 & 3-6-1)

08 - CB overlap (one of your centerbacks will join the attack and try to break through the middle; reminds me of strongly of CBs like Lucio)

09 - zone pressing
10 - counterattack
11 - offside trap
12 - formation A
13 - formation B (these refer to the two formations you could put together under option screen `c`.

any other language barriers?

can someone help me to find translation for the transfer menus?

and can i improve players with training?

1. i think suppapuffy`s translations for the transfers (on page 1) are quite good.

2. using training you can only improve players in the off-season or winter break. the training screen (in ML) will then look different from when you start training during a season (it`s called conditioning there). during the season when going on a training session you will start a training match straight away (no screens inbetween). this will only have the effect of raising the condition of players who are down (blue or gray arrow; players with red arrows can unfortunately get back to normal green arrows). when doing training off-season (or inbetween friendlies) another additional screen will appear (after you chose training) where you can train all sorts of skills, PK, CK, attack, defense etc. here you really can improve player`s skills, bear in mind the age of the players and their learning curve (6th option from the left on the ML main screen), if players surpassed the peak of their curve they`re not going to improve anymore (but instead will gradually go worse). i think there are more detailed infos about this topic on this forum, just have a search.

WE7 option file

ok this is frustrating the hell out of me, I'm having the same problem, no matter which options I choose nothing seems to happen and the names are still in japanese. Does anyone have a vague translation of the menus that appear after you've clicked on "load WE7 option file"? And what are those two big boxes (with lots of little boxes)called WE7 & WE8 all about?

bad i don`t have a WE7 option file that i can load. but if you really have big problems there (and haven`t managed yet), maybe you can post the pics with the menues and i translate them for you.

You can download the WE7:I option file from a few places including evo-web.
Or some very good WE8 edited option files (including transfers and edited kits) from evo-web and in the File Downloads section. If you're having so much trouble with the text, use Fernando's translation patch.

After you load the WE7:I option file, it asks you which further stuff you want to load from there, like club badges and so on. I clicked on the top option for each box and it worked fine.

Bonk...thanks for your kind offer. It is the third option that asks for a confirmation on the Match Start Menu screen (i.e. X v.s Y). This third option is missing from Superpuffy's translations.

Thanks for the clarification bonk...I obviously missed that discussion!!! I HAVE tried it (just didn't know what it did)... In any case, it doesn't work as well for me as it did in WE7I(j)...somehow my formation always reverts after I stock it in this screen, or the game match, or under stocking option of team settings menu.

I have resorted to using the Match menu (second menu after "Go to next week" on main ML menu), then selecting the team settings from there and changing BEFORE starting the next match...in that way...I seem to be able to save my settings...

yes, i admit that the handling of the stock option is far from easy, as it takes a confusing amount of actions to finally be able to stock the data. here`s how it works:
1. go to 9th option in the team settings (where you usually arrange you starting line ups; i know you already know that screen)
2. on the new sub-screen you now click on the team flag under `NOW IN USE` and then move the cursor down to `STOCK DATA` and place your current formation (the one you chose under `NOW IN USE`) into one of the 10 slots
3. now you move to the very bottom of the screen where you`ll see 5 small icons (the last one is a scissor)
4. these icons are: 1st - save, 2nd - load, 3rd - copy your opponent`s formation, 4th - change (puts your current formation into the opponent`s `STOCK DATA` slots; makes only sense in a 2 player mode), 5th - delete all `STOCK DATA` of yours
5. now choose save, and put it into your data files - done
6. whenever you start your ML again (your saved game) you have to load up your stocked formations first in order to choose from them, simply load it in the stock option screen and then choose your preferred formation from the `STOCK DATA` slots and paste it onto the team flag under `NOW IN USE` - done

LOL - excellent bonk!!! I have thought about doing that...and the only problem....is bloody space on my memory card!!! LOL Too many saved goals...my brother does HIS ML saves...sigh...not much left...so that's why I tried to not do it separately!! LOL But yes...you absolutely make sense...and maybe I'll try that out as I may now try to switch formations instead of keeping the same one forever...

Just to confirm though, if you do it on the Pre-match menu (i.e. the 2nd one from left on main ML menu), the last option giving you team settings, it DOES actually save the formation, individual position edits, starting roster etc...without needing to additionally save - but again..it does save only ONE set of information.
