WE8 Option File - Download and discuss

Well......
WE8 is only in Japanese.
Option files can change the player and club names to English.
The rest of the game will remain in Jap unless you patch it.

If this option file is a hassle for you then don't use it and stick to using all player names in Jap
Someone at evo-web has posted this option file as a bin and a cue that you can burn onto CDR and then load onto your mem card. The thread is here but there seem to be problems with getting it to work last time I saw it. If that link doesn't work, the thread is called "WE8 Option File Bin+Cue for those without the xport"

Is there an option file anywhere that just changes the player names and maybe transfers. I need the patch!!! playing the game in JAP is wierd!

yeah that happened to me aswell, i i chose to laod the WE7i file and a little pop up appears and nothing happens.

how do you play japanese games on PAL playstations i need WE8?!

u gotta install a modchip guy! it's some kinda small bug that u should stick to your ps2 moyherboard so that u can play cd-r/dvd ps2 pal backups as well as ntsc (us and japan games) and dvd video whichever region they belong to!
i think everyone in this site got one and maybe u're the only one who lasts!

ok ive burned the option file on2 cdr,but how do u get in loaded in 2 the ps2 mem card?im so confused,i use the slider card 2 play the game.

yea... i can't seem to buy x-port in my local shops and me being the noob i am got myself and x drive..... so is it possible to be able to get an x drive version from u? thanx...

do u all have a chipped ps2? cuz otherwise it wont work
i use the options file i made myself with 99% transfers,faces, names and numbers....for spain,germany,england and italy
so i dont even need a patch anymore

To know how to burn option files to CD, better to check the relevent threads at evo-web. Or someone can post a guide here too.

BuRn - you can get the Max Drive version of the evo-web file from the downloads section at evo-web. There is a direct link to that thread in the downloads section here.

So far the only WE8 ppf patch is Fernando's translation ones. New one set to be released on Monday.

Ive tried Using the Evo Web AND the WEStunner cue/bin files and so far no success... the WEStunner CD loaded only to a certain point i got Playstation with SCEA written underneath it but PS2MENU didnt load... the Evo Web cue was just a black screen... anyone know how to help?
