Yes you do burn the patched image onto DVD (or CD) but your PS2 needs to be chipped (unless you want to use the flip top lid or slide card methods).

Go and read all the sticky threads in General Editing.

You'll need to find someone to chip your PS2. It depends on where in the world you are so you can ask around in games shops or check in google.
Alternatively you can use a flip top lid or a slide card with swap magic disks to load import/patched games.

Swap magic is your easiest and cheapest fix......

Just patch your game.....your going to have to read up on it...but it's not too difficult.
I take it you have WE8.....I used the salmon patch....works brilliant.
It is much easier to burn the game to DVD once patched.....
I bought myDVD burner at Fry's for $89 with a $30 mail in rebate.

I went from reading my first post on patching to playing a beautifully patched game in less than a week. I highly recommend it....now I patch all kinds of things.....even kits that look similar to my sig

This patch is for PS2.

To play any patch on your Xbox it will need to be chipped and all chips do the same thing so it doesnt matter which one.

Hey Guys I just downloaded a patch that made my we 8 i even better for my luck thats the only we game dat am gonna be playing till 2007 because konami north america decided to pull back de relese of the new we 9 till 2007 when it comes out on ps3 is there any way i could download the game from the internet?

Also, I downloaded an update for the para_we8.bin file but i can not update it because it says the file is bigger than the original file. Any thought?
