[WE9] Hawke's WE9 Kits Patch

I patched the iso and converted the xps file to a max drive file, but the kits in the game look funny. For example, when viewing teams in edit, the unlicensed teams appear in black. The licensed teams still look the same. What did I do wrong?

Please be more specific in terms of when playing
the game, do the kits look strange, or are they ok.

For example when I use Barcelona and get to the
'kit selection' home colours will look all dark blue
& away dark blue top & black shorts. Now if I select
the home colours or away colours the new kit will be
worn by your players in the game, not the colours
shown in 'kit selection'.
btw, I don't really mind this as when playing all looks fine.

This is a NO questions area.

It's fairly complicated but do-able. What happened to the good old days of the all in one .ppf patch onto a clean iso? Does anyone know if there are any plans for a patch of this sort? Thanks a lot by the way.

I understand your plea, but we all should be happy with what
we are getting, and real fast, WE9 was released a month ago
and look at what we have in our hands now a working WE9
Full English version, with offical balls, stadiums, players, kits...
I can say that reefur & maximo are in process of releasing
a HQ all in one patch, if it's going to be ppf I don't know.
Sunjun released a beta, so who knows what the next will be.

btw, Please look for the correct forum to ask about patch releases.

Not all the kits are in the patch as they were not all made yet. If you make the kit, he can put it in for the next update.

1. Did you double-left click 'SETUP.exe' to install CD/DVDgen?
If not do so.

2. What OS are you using?

There should be no problems with v1.5 and winxp sp2...

It could be what is mentioned in Post#15 by Zygalski,
so this means that maybe a file is missing in your winxp system
or your system is in a bit of mess as said, but this does
not mean you need to format & re-install your OS. Yet.

Let's start by checking if file AUTOEXEC.NT mentioned by
CD/DVDgen is where it should be, press 'start' on desktop
in menu select & click 'Search' make a file search with

AUTOEXEC.NT

Search results should be the following;
(i). autoexec.nt = located in C:\Windows\Repair
(ii). AUTOEXEC.NT = located in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

If both files (i) & (ii) are found your system is ok. Now....

1. If file (ii) is missing we have found the problem, all you need to do is...
(a1) COPY 'autoexec.nt' file located in C:\Windows\Repair
(b1) PASTE file into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
(c1) Run CD/DVD-Rom gen v1.5. All should be fine now.

OR

2. If both files (i) & (ii) are found your system is ok, but...
(a2) 'CD/DVD-Rom gen v1.5' you have is corrupted, try dl'in app from
http://members.cox.net/candrid2/files/cddvdgen.rar
or
http://home.versatel.nl/joeriroels/Download/cdgen_15.rar
(b2) one / or both (i) & (ii) files are corrupted (maybe recent virus?).
(c2) Your system is in a mess, and you need to blow it up. Post 15#.

Don't think it should be a problem, PS2 accepts both DVD+/-R.
If we9 you have works with SM I don't see why this will not work,
taking into account that you patch it correctly.

To get the full instructions manual you have to find it yourself.

I'm a little bit confused with this CD/DVDgen
Can somebody help me with this CD/DVDgen.
When I open it just says Exit, View Patch note and apply patch.
There's no ''creat new project'' or somthing like that.

ive finally burnt it properly i get passed the main swap magic screen load program an i just get a black screen, ive followed hawkes instructions exactly had a checklist an everythin haha, but im stuck now, if anyone could help would be great

or how about i just send someone some money an they do me a copy of we9 with hawke superb kit patch!!

Is the link at the beginning of the thread just for a fix or complete patch that can go on a clean version of WE9? Because I have tried a few times on a clean WE9 and followed the tutorial but cannot get it to work, just get a blank screen when I try to load the game up, please help!!!

Your project is too small, well that's what CD/DVD-ROM Gen is saying.
So something is wrong with the files you extracted/modified.

You have the 17 files extracted in a folder, now check
if you extracted them correctly (think I'm repeating this).

For example; open extracted folder and look for the 'IOP' folder...

(a) if extracted correctly 'IOP' should be a folder with files in it.
(b) if not extracted correctly you'll only see a file named IOP.

This is the point you ned to really read, until I noticed it was just exporting a tiny file, rather than a folder, I had problems.

To export the folder, you need to right click on one of the folders on the left window of Apache 2, and select "Extract All", or the option that is like this.

That should extract all files into a folder within the one you made previously. I am burning my ISO now with DVD Decrypter, lets hope it works!

Hmmmm, I tried a Man U v Newcastle friendly, and both kits were completely black.

I did put the option file onto my mem card via X-Port.

After making Man U's kit default in the edit screen, the game crashes just after intro scene....

**update**

all unlicensed teams have all black kits. Defaulting Man U's started making the game crash....

any ideas?
