we9 litmus test needed : think iv been conned

hi picked up 'we9' today. the thing is it looks a lot like a patched ver of we8. iv been playin pes4 till now so not sure about it at all. the menu isnt like wat ive seen in some vids on this site, the jersey screen is the same as in pes4, the graphics look the same, the main menu is horizontal not vert. does any of this give u guys a clue whether its a con job or not? been lookin 4 the snow weather effect 2 test but cant find it in the exhibition options screen. hmm wat else .... no man of the match (a * next 2 the man of the match is supp 2 be in we9 right>?) shown. no short pass gauge showin up unless i use the manual short pass gauge (altho in options iv set it 2 show the short pass gauge), can change the colour of the dots on the radar as iv read u can. the gameplay does feel diff tho, ball heavier, shooting more realistic, chipped thru balls flatter, seemed like there was some better runs happ 2 but not sure abt that. cant find the nippon challenge either, isnt it supp 2 be on the main screen ??? is this like some we8LE patch im playin or wat, no clue over here ! iv only played pes4 btw, not touched we8 or we8LE.

o yeah and the intro is bits and pieces of the old pro evo (4) with some new sht added in, with cuts to a small kid singin the background score, but i guess that can be blamed on the patcher. this is prob the clincher , instead of the voice announcing "world soccer winning elv 9" it said "world soccer winnin ELEVEN 8" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! altho im pretty damn sure iv been totally screwed over, a little more proof would soothe me soul .... any way i can check 4 sure??? dont have an x-port btw .... o yeah the network thingi is there which is wat gave me some doubts abt the entire thing .......... confused

any help is appreciated, so fkin pissed off 2, was reallly lookin frw 2 we9 !!!!

ya great result 4 the gunners with such a second string team. reallllly had my doubts about almunia all the way thru. reyes def 4 the future, doesnt have henry's team ethic yet tho, little selfish,freddie just knows when 2 do the job.
neways this game's (my ver of we9) a lot better than the pes4 im used 2 so ill just switch 2 this one till i can get the "REAL" we9.

the voice only says winnin elv 8 so i guess thats all it is patched up. the bstds really played me with this 1, u should have seen the packagin, absolutely perfect. wat gave me the 1st doubt was the discreet font on the cd that said "edited version" which sounded a little fishy but prominsin at the same time. o well not long 2 go

WE9, menu is horizontal. In game the offence/defence markers are now vertical.

Vertical = columns/pillars = up to down = WE9/PES5.

over here in india most of the pes games iv seen are patched, picked up a we7 reloaded version once, without knowin that reloaded meant that the patcher had put this matrixy (u know those columns of green characters) image as the background !!! couldnt read a thing in the masterlg menus,absolute crap !!! gave it back pronto... with a mod chip the number of pirated games u can pick up are incredible if u know the right shops and the prices would be dirt cheap 4 u guys (about $2.50 US for any ps2 game), its good even 4 me considering its a tenth of wat the originals cost.

will only b able 2 give it back this weekend, neways its a bit better than the pes4 iv been playin till now. the patchers slowed down the game's pace by puttin topspeed, short pass sp and long pass sp 2 MAX 4 everyone. the downside is that a lot of the tricks dont work like the used 2, even sharp turns and close control are hard 2 do, one touches all the way. but the ball's so much heavier, really rockets thru the air, LOVE IT, can really feel the power behind the shot. another weird thing is that player runs seem 2 be much better. freddie ljung is a lot more like his usual self down the wings.

Ive had that before mate.. but i returned it.. test the game first before bringing it home.. you'd be real dissapointed playing we8 when you went to buy we9..

hey guys went back 2 the store yesterday 2 get the 'we9' switched. was just lookin waitin as the shopkeeper put the game in a cover when i spied henry squarin off with terry under a pile of other games, pes 5@!!!!. u can imagine the feelin...

have played a few matches, 1st was a 1-0 vs chel as arsenal. one thing is that headers are greatly easier than pes4..... the sidestep keeps poppin in even when not necessary even when i use the dpad. movement of the players is different in that its not as lightnin fast as pes4, it's more chilled out, take it easy sort of movement, but changes in direction and speed really help in goin past players. found it easier 2 head the ball, lot of fouls bein called, bookins very lenient even when i go in from behind 2 end a career... along with pes5 i also picked up another copy of we9, didnt really look at it much but it seems 2 be the same thing as the 1st we9 i picked up, a patched we8. neways no tears now that i have pes5.
