I don't know why the size is different but it may be worth trying to import the files and see if it works.

Yeah, did that. But got a black screen on load. Nothing. I will try again though, maybe later on tonight.

Because you're not doing it right! Follow the instructions properly.
Delete the iso and start again.

i have a problem and i cant pinpoint the cause. I followed the guide to use a patched cd-r word for word and had no problem. however when i load the disc using swap magic all i get is a black screen. i use nero to burn. are there any special options to check when burning the image? i tried 2 different kinds of cd-r with the same result. Also, are there any differences between the fernando patches and their compatibility with a cd rip? like do the newer ones work using the cd rip method or do i have to use an old one?

I dunno about nero, but for alcohol, I have to choose the playstation 2 burn type, and I used fernando's v4 patch and it works fine

i used alcohol and i still get a black screen after loading the disc. how can i burn the rip without patching it? i want to see if the rip is working or if it's the patch that i have to redo? i have the rip as a rar file, how do i change it to cue and bin?

Why is your rip a rar file? That has nothing to do with this guide.
Your best option is to use the search function or read larsson's index thread.

after i use the app in the rip kit i got a file name we9j just like in your guide, i followed everything step by step until i lod the disc and all i get is a black screen.

i already patched a clean dvd image and imported the two text files into a copy of the rip using cdmage but when i load the disc all i get is a black screen. i want to burn just the clean rip to figure out if it is the rip that is somehow not working or if it works maybe the patching?
also do all of fernando's translation patches work on cdrip? or only the older ones?

I will try out Fernando's V5 patch on a cdrip tonight. Will post the results.

I know that trying to import the files from the WEMERICA V2.1 into the ripkit iso does not work.

i only tried with fernando's V5 patch since all i want right now is translated menu to be able to play master league or nippon challenge. thanks

I haven't been able to try the V5 one yet but I did patch and rip the wemerica v2.1 patch. If there is a SLPM_660.09 file that needs to be imported, be sure to use the Ps2 CDVDCheck program on this patch so that it works on the CD version, otherwise the rip will not work. Doing this made the wemerica patch work - it did not work before this step.

You can get this program from here.
What you do is to make a copy of the SLPM_660.09 file in another folder. Then open the above program and click the top right button and locate the SLPM_660.09 file. Then click in the circle in the line that says "Parchear para funcionar en CD" and then click on the bottom right "Parchear" button. When this is done (very quick) you may then import the SLPM_660.09 file into your ISO using DKZ Studio.

i followed your instructions using the wemerica patch, dkz studio and the sapnish app but all in vain. when i load the disc, i can hear it spinning but all i see is a black screen. i think that i am gonna just give up and keep playing league and cup matches with some dcent option file. thanks anyways :)

Swap Magic

I just got WE9 a couple of days ago. I was just wondering if it's possible to rip this game so that it works with Swap Magic?

From what I've read in this thread (and the guide), it would seem that the TOC of the ISO generated by the rip kit is significantly higher than 632 Mb.

I haven't tried ripping it yet as I want to make sure that I don't waste blank CDs.
