what are your thoughts on long range goals? discuss.

i'm currently playing as newcastle, and i've scored some cracking long range goals with andy carroll.

now last week when I first did this I thought, wow what a great goal, its like time slowed down...

another time i was winning 2-1, and then out of nowhere the oposition scored one of these long shots, right off the bar. I'm thinking yeah it happens, my fault for not closing him down.

today I play two matchs and in both I score two great long range goals with.. andy carroll! now i'm thinking hang on, isn't this a bit unrealistic, the shots are not even that hard, if I was stevie G then yeah, but andy carroll??

any thoughts on this guys??

What long range goals? Everytime I even look at the shoot button from outside the area, the ball goes into orbit. Seriously, if you couldn't put oponent teams goalie on corners, I'd never get the long ranger trophy. (I haven't yet, so I don't know if I can keep a shot down from just past the halfway line).

On the odd occasion that the ball is headed out to my player lurking outside the box from a corner or something similar, the he sometimes rifles one into a bunch of bodies, but no long range goals yet. It's annoying because all I keep hearing is how good long range shooting is.

Agree. Don't know why, but in PES2011, every time i shoot from outside the box, even with great players (Steve Gerrard, Xavi, Iniesta...), it goes out of the stadium... I used to score great goals in PES 2010, but now just seems impossible.

I was haveing this problem aswell but over the weekend I scored a few scorchers, what happened was when I layed the ball off to one of my players, I didnt hit it to hard and it just went in the top corner!!!
