What do "flashing circles" mean?

Hi all,

The biggest "excuse" I've come up with so far for getting my butt kicked online is the new "flashing" players on the pitch navigation grid.

Does anyone know what these are for? Is it potential receivers of the ball? Or the next player you can select after the one you're currently controlling? It's really distracting at first when you're used to PES4.

I also guess that they are the possible receivers of the ball but I am not 100% sure of it... It would be the most logical explenation?

it is because there are players from both teams standing next to each other really close so the icons flash to show both of the palyers are in taht position, hope this helps
