Everyone here is excited about the upcoming games, either FIFA or PES, and I was just thinking what will be your measuring system to determine what game you will ultimately buy.. here's mine
1. Gameplay - The overall feel of the games and how players move and how well they respond to my commands. Please Konami, stop making the cpu control my players making them do stupid moves and moving out of their positions. I always play in full manual and still my players run out of their positions and my defenders move away from critical plays that allow the opponent to score.
2. Master League/Manager Mode - I have never played FIFA's MM, but I've always liked the ML because it resembles a little the real football world. Making trades and offers with other teams and receiving offers for my players. Playing in a league and also an "international" club torunament. However, I would like to control every aspect like a real manager. From players, coaches, staff, press, sponsors, and everything else that is done in real life. Also, it would be nice to receive offers to go and work for other team so as to have a chance to manage and make other champions instead of playing 15+ seasons with the same team and not much to do.
3. Edit Mode - Besides from actually playing games, this is where I spend most of the time; creating players, editing teams and other players and customizing the game to better suit me. The more I can edit and customize, the better.
4. Appearance/Graphics - Menus, stadiums, players, and everything that makes a game appealing to the eye thus making it more enjoyable.
5. Music - It can get annoying to listening to that awful PES music. I've always enjoyed FIFA's trax and it just adds a little enjoyment to the game.
6. Teams/Players - With PES, I've always felt very limited in the number of teams I can play against. The more teams, the better as I can observe other players and have different competition for longer. I've also always loved PES Shop as I can buy even more players, but of course I want moreand from different parts of the world.
These are the most important for myself, and of course every other detail that completes the game. This year will be the first that I will rent FIFA and PES and compare them side by side before I buy the one I like best. After many years with PES, I think EA will finally release a game that will rival PES in overall quality.
