Sheer brilliance. PES used to drive me insane when I was younger too. I remember nutting my PS2 controller at one point when my mate scored a last minute winner against me.

I used to smash my PS2 controllers from time to time, but I'd never snap the disc itself, it would involve too much calculation in getting it out of the console whereas if I'd lose the plot for a second I'd rage at the closest thing - obviously the controller in my hand - job done. Thankfully I no longer go mental with games though, I may occasionally turn the console off but I'd never smash anything. You can say I truly appreciate the value of money now.

This is what concerned me at the time, the calmness with which I took the disc out and destroyed it made me think for a second PES had tipped me over the edge. At least you didn't nut your mate(would have been brilliant though:laugh:) nothing worse then when a pes rival beats you and you see their smug face, I've often had the temptation to hurt them in this situation luckily never acted on it.

For me its the draw of master league, maybe it feels more important than it should do and this makes losing a last minute goal all the more infuriating as you feel immersed. There should be a counseling service for people like us, I must have spent at least 500 quid on replacing pads and discs over the years. My lowest moment was biting the analog stick off, calmly taking the disc out and throwing it across the room before gathering enough money together to replace what I had broke. I might as well just sit in room burning piles of money

hahaha OMG - we have all been there!!! personally i have never taken the controller to my mouth! but whilst raging at an online fifa10 match i simply gripped the controler as hard as i could and twisted it to death, cutting my hand in the process!!! One mangled controller man. After a few seconds of reflection i drove straight to tesco, bought a new controller for £35 and went home to finish off what i had started! Outrageous.

It is good to see there are no +2 votes yet !

I almost find -2 too fast on some occasions, might be to do with the TV.

Same here. On some occasions I feel the game is a bit faster than I would expect. It even forces me to check if it is still on -2 ! Could be a bug though.

I feel -2 provides the most realistic representation of real football. Kindda sluggish sometimes, yes, but it fully satisfies if you like to build up play or use lots of lofted through balls.

When you get used to it though, playing online or even with friends is a bit difficult because default speed is more common.

Yeah, we used to really celebrate in front of each other when we scored just to wind each other up. Standing up in front of the other's face and performing a series of celebrations, whether it was the shirt over the head, the Thierry Henry patting of the chest while trying to run around the room. It was a right laugh.

As for this thread, I play on -1 gamespeed. It sometimes feels a touch too fast at times but I don't mind as if I ever choose to play online I don't want there to be too big of a gap from what I'm used to.

Oh wow!! I thought I was angry!! Biting the analogue sticks off?! That must have taken some skill!

I used to punch the wall and the tv when I used to play ML battles with my bro on ISS Pro Evo 2. The tv was old and had a curvature to the screen so it didnt hurt too much.

With this version I have thrown my controller across the room, but I do it rather nonchalantly, never actually slam it. I've already broken 2 ps3 controllers because of spilling water on them, and at 40 quid a pop, they're not cheap.

I've always been tempted to snap the disk in half, but never have done. Now I have a new thing where I actually try and snap the controller with my bare hands!!!

It doesn't affect me as much as it used too, once I stop playing I get over it. We should have a specific thread for PES Rage, maybe even a specific section on the forum??

Anyyyyyyway, back on topic. I play at 0 speed, can't see any reason to change it really, it feels right.
