what happened to the training challenges?

I remember in the early PES games they had training challenges, such as dribbling through cones and free kick challenges.
I notice they havent been including it in the later games.
I think it sucks i actually like those challenges.
Konami really need to overhaul this game, it still beats FIFA in realism, but FIFAs game modes and profile creating beat PES hands down.

true! I would always do those challenges cause they actually made you good at free kicks and passing and dribbling they worked!

those were the days!

I have to agree with this thread, I used to really enjoy the challenges on the old PES games. It may have been because I was a kid when they were included but they were quite relaxing, and a good laugh when you had a little spare time. It is definetely a stupid move by Konami to remove them, but I guess that's vintage Konami.

My favourite challenge had to be the free-kick challenges though, both the long pass set-pieces and the free-kick shots.

I agree completely. I too was a fan of the training challenges, and was sad to see them be shown the door. They were enjoyable challenges, both for playing with a friend to see who could get the better of the results, and simply to practise on your own, all the while seeing those challenges improve your skill in said areas of the game.

Yet another pointless decision by Konami in relation the the PES series. I fail to see what is to be gained by removing features such as the training challenges, random match selection, and the ability to check a players games played to goals scored, etc. The game has regressed more than it has evolved in recent times.
