What does triangle do?
Is this a new feature in PES5?

I personally think that they screwed up with two players free kick-with R3 button was much more fun and easier than this thing with L1 and X, too much thing to do and not as half power as in the PES4.
Anyway, did any of you guys used to use this two player free kick?

I used to use it all the time , but just so that I kept the ball rather seeing yet another pants freekick fly over the goal :)

PES5/WE9 FKs are fairly the same for me. The curve/bend is slightly different though. The ball really curves alot for those with Curve 90+. And I have a feeling that R. Carlos's FK shots are stronger than ever

I used to aim at the goalie`s corner, bit aside of the goal, then hold R1 all the way to the end, and than quick press forward, shoot button (for me it`s 0) and a bit of curve. 99% goalie would just look at the ball, and 1% he would dive, but with no success.

Shame that they have changed it! :realmad:

When you rip one in the top left with Lampard from the edge of the box on your first ever freekick you can safely say they've made them too easy. Who knows, maybe it was beginners luck, but I scored less then 10 FKs in the whole of PES4 and have scored one before PES5 is even out

Oh and triangle does the same thing that R1 used to do, I didn't use that though

Less than 10?!? I scored 4 in one match with one player! They were easy - and I mean that because I put one top corner with an undeveloped Rossi.

I've been playing the PES5 demo for the PS2 a fair bit since yesterday. The free-kick mode has changed. I’m glad. Shoot accurately and apply the right power and curl, depending on the player, and you're more likely to score than you were before (PES4). It was extremely difficult in PES4. I practised it a lot but I never did quite master it and I honestly felt I couldn’t. I got fed up after awhile and I resorted to blasting it virtually every time. I thought the change was needed. I'm happy with it now.
