What i dont like about Pro 5

Pro 5 is without a shadow of a doubt the best footy game out at the moment. Ive been playing pro since the ISS days and thought they have been getting better along the years however i find that with pro 5 many animations are too slow, the passing in particular is very frustrating. My pro strategy is quick counter attacks, one touch passes and 1-2's, Pro 4 was brilliant with that because the passing was crisp quick and sharp but i find in pro 5 that the passes usually go wayward and are so slow. I hate when the player waits for the pass to reach his feet instead of running towards it.

Also, i find that the computer fall down on the ground too easily, way too easily. One thing i dont understand is when you chase the player with the ball there is an animation where the player chasing him kicks out at the guy's heels without you even pressing a button and the guy just collapses on the ground like hes been shot. I think in Pro 6 the referee must let things slide, none of this "you farted = yellow card"

I feel the gameplay is very clumsy although it is a very good game i still prefer Pro 4 is some aspects, im hoping Pro 6 allows for faster and sharper gameplay.

I agree to a point, but I have noticed that it depends on the palyer whether he gores down easily or not. Ronaldihno and Eto go down for nothing yet it takes more to make the likes of Shearer go down.

I am also having difficulty getting used to the game but its still an improvement over Pro Evo 4 in my opinion. Just because its different doesnt mean its predecessor was better

I'm playing WE9: I but I also have PES5. I have none of your problems with WE9: I but I remember it was pretty slow on PES5, not 100% sure tho.

The passing is better than ever. Players wait for the ball cuz ur doing something wrong. My players never idle unless I want them to. AI players going to ground too ez, again ur fault this time. Surprisingly there are ways to make their players fall or shoved without committing a foul.

The pace when I play the English league mode is blistering fast. Much slower when I play Seria A and La Liga. I love this feature, as now there's a clear difference between the leagues, and they do a good job resembling their counterparts.

Everyone's been where you are. Its a game you can pick up quickly but takes time to master. Some people never do get to grips with it. Consider buying the official guide or spend some more time in the Hints and Tips section on this forum.

Yeah dude, just keep playing. I used to break controllers because my players did stupid shite. Now, I break controllers because I cock a chance up, or give a stupid foul. Once you get good, everytime you score you'll punch the air in triumph... Of course, you might do that now since you're having so many problems :)

And sure, the game has its negative points... Name a game that doesn't though.

Ive mastered the game dont get me wrong, Ive had it since its release and play on 6* and cant remember the last time ive lost (to computer), Its just little things about the game that get me, sometimes my goaly kicks out the ball, and even before my active player gets in the camera view i have "fouled" a player lol. just hope they make Pro 6 a little more hardcore, would be awesome for the AI to recognise a 'mutual challenge' and a 'challenge with intent' to be able to start fights and scuffles, would love serious injuries to be added to the game. Does anybody remember that game where you could chase and beat up the referee? Was a really old crappy game on the pc i think, funny though lol

Well, that's not a flaw with PES5 but rather your gaming technique. To others, the tempo is very well balanced. You can quickly counter but also build up slowly from the back.

There are worse flaws. For example, I hate how you get a freekick from 30-40 yards and all your players stand outside the box. GET IN THERE! Can't score with a header from 25yrds guys! Also hate how the big CB's don't go up for corners. How unrealistic. Little strikers have to compete with the oppositions defence. Grr.

Oh but they do. All it takes is adjusting the attack bar to red or play on Auto-Attack. Then for FK u have to wait a bit, players will come towards u, keep waiting and they'll get back in the box. For corners defenders will come up and sometimes keepers. See, when u think its a flaw, explore forums a lil bit and u might get an answer.

Read some of the Winning Eleven 10 threads and you'll find out what PES6 will be like. Your hopes have been answered - but too much. The new game will be way too fast, more like PES2 than any other version.
