I think you might be a bit confused, only the last one of those pictures is for the 360, and i don't think it looks bad and especially if you look at the Ronaldinho pictures. The first two you posted are PS2, and they are shite.

I have played and my brother owns Fifa 06 and may I say how truly wank it is. Just because you think it is good doesnt mean the world and his dog do. PES is more playable and far far better and not just because of editing but for everything.

It may more than likely be the case that PES will still rule, BUT if the day ever came when FIFA managed to beat PES's gameplay than you would have the complete package no?

I have a feeling FIFA will pull a few more people worldwide this year because the graphics look alot more next-gen than PES/WE will. People always say the PES/WE gameplay is better than FIFA. I have to say in the last few years it feels about the same. There is only so many options on how to control the players. The Difference comes in the variety of strategy that can be applied in PES/WE. FIFA has never allowed you to change the shape of formations or create your own attack stlyes besides set pieces. I end up playing PES/WE alot longer than FIFA because the editing can keep it fresh. EA will most likely never include this depth because FIFA is made for all the stupid wankers here in the states. I hope someday both companies get on the ball and release a game with the start of the european leagues beginning.

I cant rmember who said it and i cant be arsed to find out who did but one thing i hate is the lack of editing...Pro Evo always has this one.

I always flit between Fifa and Pro Evo...Fifa having an immense career mode and obvious graphics. I think Fifa is starting to look better, more realistic.

I'd like to see the banning of these fanboys coming one saying 'fifa is gay lol' etc as not only are you spamming, but you're obviously having a bobble as to be fair, Fifa isnt that bad.

FIFA 07 = a new engine 2 years in the making.

There's no way in hell that 07 is going to be as stale gameplay wise as it was before. If it is, then all the people that shun FIFA can rejoice that they have the same game as they had before, only with a cleaner look. As Booth said, he's trying to copy PES, if he succeeds, he'll win over a good amount of people... he's got better online features, better graphics, and a deeper manager mode. Better music too.

Like somone said I'd simply buy Fifa. I Have no loyalty at all to Konami, they make the best football game I like and I buy. If EA comes better then simple as I'd buy it. Fifa put themselves in a hole along time ago, for fifa to surpass PES it would need Konami's gameplay simple as.

First off before PES3 i was a big fifa fan and had played it regularly since 2002on the ps2!
i went off it though when they took out the editing (making your own team) in 2003 and when i seen pes3 had that, thats what drew me to pes.

Couple of years have passed now and the last fifa game i bought was 2004! which was decent. I rented 05 and wasnt impressed and played 06 in a game store and again wasnt impressed.

Now with next gen on the way i obviously don't own a 360 so i can't try both out but if i do get a 360 i plan to give fifa a chance, ill rent it out first though.
Judging by some of the screens it does look good but none of them are ingame are they
i wasnt that impressed with pes screens aswell but i saw a vid that made up for that.

All i can say on the matter is if Fifa does start to gain ground on pes then it can only be good for us pes fans, it will mean sebass having to WORK and pay attention to other things and not just assume he can send out tweaked gameplay and it will sell.

Both EA and Konami have been sending out tweaked versions for the last few years, but after looking at the interviews from both companys at least EA have looked to do something with the 360. I hope this Fifa for the 360 is a leap forward and does put pressure on Seabass to look to make bigger improvements with PES.

On Gamespot they interview someone from Konami who explains that the 360 PES will be the best looking out of all the versions they are doing, but the same gameplay, well thats all very nice but my patched PES on PC already looks good.

PES gameplay is ahead of FIFA but it wont be if Konami continues to build its game on the back of the PS2 and I think the answer to the question if Fifa manages to surpass PES is how many they sell. If Fifa turns out to be a great game then people will buy it, if its not they wont.

If fifa is better, I will stop playing pes even though I have been playing WE/PES for 8years now, which makes me a pes fanboy you gay fifa fans.

But, lets be serious about this...every year "Fifa is getting close" stories do the rounds until it fizzles out into "Fifa is shite".
