What is the best way to score??

What is the best way to score on a one on one situation? I have notice the WE8 has tune up the goalie rating. In WE7, I can just tap the shoot button to score on the lower far side corner but this will fail 9 out of 10 times in WE8. What is the best way to score when you facing the goalie? What is the general step when you aim to shoot? By the way, I use the left thumb stick, I try to switch over to D-pad, but I really can't make it.

The best way to score on a one-on-one situation is to either lob the ball (I prefer the :R1: + square lob), or feint him. The goalie rating has been tuned up pretty well. If you want to shoot the ball for instance in the lower far side corner, make sure the player shoots the ball with his strong foot, but timing is very important here, just look at the goalies moves and react on it. It works for me, although he still stops the ball more than he did in PES3. Just don't play WE8 like it is PES3/WE7 because as you can see, it doesn't work anymore. Good luck mate..

Thanks a lot Cyrax. That actually what I am trying to use more now... the lob shot and feint. I think I need to learn the timing on making low corner shots too. I just really enjoy making shots like Henry and Ronaldo where they aim the far lower corner to beat the goalie. =)

feint works best I think, it's more difficult to get a goal with a lob because it takes a lot of timing

Which feint you use? square and X or other?

i use square and x.. works 90%

Where you feint, do you know if the user will go left or right? Sometimes they go to the left and I am trying to move to the right, it screw up my shots when that happen. Is there a way to control where the player will go after the feint?

im pretty sure u can direct it .. most the time im going straight at the keeper so if i hold up or down while feinting they move correspondingly

The reason why I ask is when I do the shot feint without pressing any direction, the play will pick a direction himself. It seems like they always go to the left side of the goalie. Does any one notice that? Is it related to the player's strong foot too?

One more thing, shot feint seems to make the player run slower and usually you have a defender right behind you. So doing shot feint will usually get you trip by a defender?! Any way to get around this?

Ahh...good point about the shot feint sfo...it does seem to slow things down a tad...maybe i should go for the X feint instead... :p

if you have defenders right up against your back, don't go for the shot feint, you won't get the shot off or it will be blocked, you have to go for the lob or shoot in the corner

X feint? you mean feint a pass? you can't do it for the normal pass but you can feint a cross

for 1v1, if you streaking down into the box from one side of the keeper and he does NOT come out to challenge, you can use the square + R1 lob to pick out the far top corner, I just made a fool of Keller in my ML :D

Yep, if the player is right footed, he'll generally go left. Naturally.

I just use the Square button and that normally makes the ball go towards the net and sometimes goes in!!
