After reading many threads here in regards to the two premiership team in PES and this again being brought up by the PSM3 reveiw I am wanting to know what the score is because in the US they dont seem to have this problem. You take EA Sports and 2Ksports in the staes 2K games are seen as the PES against FIFA now both NBA2K7 and NHL2K7 have had no problems aquiring the licenses of all the franchises why is this such a problem with Konami?? Surely this in a way is like BskyB monopalising the tv rights to the premier league which in the end was deemed not to be fair according to europen laws whic stated the market had to be more competitve.

What gives??:w00t

nba and nhl gave the licenses to BOTH EA and 2K sports to provide more options to the consumer. EA paid ridiculous dough to get the exclusive license for Madden NFL till 2014. FIFA = EA = EVERY TEAM IN THE WORLD IS AT YOUR DISPOSAL BY DEFAULT. EA again paid a lot of money to have the exclusive license for the premiership and the bundesliga. if KONAMI want premiership teams they can only have 2 teams - like in pes5 n soon in pes6. konami can have all the teams but they would have to pay each club individually and that would cost A LOT of money. even if they did that they still cant legally put in their games Barclays Premiership. SKY have nothing to do with it.

it was only about 3 months ago that the premier league license was up for renewal but EA offered more money and got it. personally if i blame the premier league for not doing their research on the topic. up until 2-3 weeks ago pes5 was still in the top 20 charts n fifa 06 was no where to be seen. when the awards come around each year pro evo is there and fifa isnt. im getting angry thinking about it now i'f better stop.

hopefully that clears it up.

nba only features a country's league and whereas in football, there's numerous leagues.. so i guess it's one of the reason why it's difficult for konami as well..

when will this saga ever end? imagine what would happen should konami acquire all the lisences...fifa would be fucked.at least konami has editing.

Licencing

It is rumoured that Konami can aquire any licence, but have to through each team, so for example in the Barclays Premiership, Konami can approach any team and get their licence.

Dont talk BS like "in Fifa you have all the teams in the WORLD by default" okay? There is no Bulgarian League so they DONT have all the licenses,we are from the major(well okay, our league play SUX a LOT,but we do realy well in Europe, see Levski for example) european countries in the world so not givin us respect is ridicolous.
EA are bastards not only for the Fifa thing(god bless they dont get Ubisoft)...

Surely the future is region differing game releases. Meaning Eastern European gamers can buy Pro Evo with their Leagues included and then Major Western Teams as extras. Personally though that would screw my version up cos Konami have only got 2 licensed teams for England. Maybe the Marketplace is the answer - download the leagues you want i.e. Bulgarian League, Greek League etc.
