It's not glory-supporting. I've watched football for many years and then made a structured decision to support the team i liked most. When you support a team who is constant disappointment throughout, it is very easy to become used to it and see it as normal. The greatest accomplishment for your club is not to get relegated and even that they could not manage :( . There is no reward for a footballer to remain loyal to a club who cannot achieve trophies. If there was then Francesco Totti would be the "best player in the world". Roma are a joke but Totti never left them. He has no glory to show for his career, aside from the Azzurri's 2006 WC run. Glory is what everyone chases and only underachievers settle for less.

Constant disappointment? Far from it.

Several top 8 Premier league finishes, being able to attract the likes of Hierro (you should know something about him), Djorkaeff, Okocha, Campo, Anelka to the club, a couple of decent runs in Europe, winning at Old Trafford 2 seasons in a row (how many clubs have that achievement?)..... not bad for a "small" club at all. Only recent seasons have been a disappointment.

You don't mention trophies at all. Hierro went after he was past his prime and his best. Campo was a caveman, only aggressiveness and physicality. Diouf was probably the only time people sat up to watch Bolton. Besides Anelka, the rest of those players were past their best.

777 was (still is I guess) a 'special' member of these here forums. A very independent individual with a penchant for porches, washboard abs and that most cheesy of wrestlers (and I use that term loosely), The Ultimate Warrior.

He was also one arrogant SOB. Still, good times were had, interesting 'debates' and some tension. Brought much activity to the off topic sections.

That sounds like a very stupid person. What kind of a no-life has an interest in porches? LMAO. That sounds like a grandma in a retirement home type of activity. Only rednecks, who have nothing better to do, like wrestling. I still don't get why he reminds you of me or if you think i'm this individual. I'm nothing like what you described. If anything i'm very humble. I make sure after i beat someone i tell them how much they suck. I do attract a lot of attention in general though. People are magnets to whatever i'm doing or saying.
