Whats the best way to perform long balls perfectly??

i tried the L1 and O way but the defensive players always intercept the long ball, is there a way to pitch the ball ahead of the intended frontman/striker

Try L1 + Triangle.

Or get practicing with the manual passing options using the Right Analogue Stick for ground passes and the RAS + L1 for manual air passes.

that's if you perfet it

best time to use:

1-when you catch the ball from other team & quick to try it.
2-quick to do when his defender is stand in line you can see this in small screen.
3-when you do :L1: :circle: or :L1: :triangle: quickly make your player run in front the goal .
4-when you take the ball do one touch & slowly push shot button
or do the lop because more time you will be face to face with goal keeper

i used to use the manual pass all the time in pes2 because it was so easy to pull of

but on pes3 you have to hold the button down to get the power which is a problem for me when im trying to keep a defender away at the same time

i find that for long balls, someone who has good long pass accuracy and long pass speed helps that little bit more

A good way to do a long ball from defence to attack you can hold :L1: and press :circle: twice. This long ball is much quicker than :L1: + :circle: and goes to an offensive player straight away more often rather than having an aerial battle.
