Liverpool, 3rd or 4th season
GK:
Reina (still a bit underrated, imo)
Stekelenberg (becomes a f*cking monster keep)
Backs:
Riise (I'll admit that I have a lot more fun playing him anywhere other than in the back)
Agger (great, solid defender)
Skrtel (Sirikael? - looked into him since 'pool signed him; he's really damn cheap and not too bad, so I figured he was worth a grab early on)
Hyypia (slow, about to retire, but still VERY solid when comes to stopping an attack)
Micah Richards (constantly suggested around here for good reason!)
Wilfred Bouma (Villa/Orange fan in me)
Van Dijk (I'm guessing Arjan, as he's very young, though he might be a made-up player... looks like he'll develop VERY well)
MF:
Mascherano (most consistent player I have behind Kuyt)
Alonso (brilliant playmaking, though very slow)
Gerrard (what can you say?)
Ashley Young (a bad man, fast and stable)
Quaresma (an even badder man for different reasons - after some development, some of the greatest service out there)
Benayoun (useful, though he chokes on the finish a bit too often)
Paul Anderson (maybe my awesome surprise player of the game: the kid can score!)
Anderson (he's everywhere, everywhere I tell you, and dangerous all the while)
CF/SS:
Agbonlahor (can't catch me!)
Torres (another one that doesn't need anything said)
Babel (true terror as a CF with outstanding development; not too useful on the wings, in my experience)
Kuyt (the rock of the team: leads in goals AND assists, never has to be substituted, strong enough to hold off most any defender)
Huntelaar (should be my next #1 target man, if Kuyt ever has to retire)
Benzema (just got him in the mid season window, but he's going to be outrageous)
The "just for (mostly l'Orange) kicks (and the occasional emergency!) and because I had a LOT of money and nobody else I really wanted to buy":
Cruijff (Cwarim - it's almost unfair to play with him)
Van Basten (Von Bolsen - honestly, while he's a marvelous out and out attacker, he's too damned slow for many games!)
Neeskins (Niilsens - awesome utility)
Krol (Kjuna - makes three at the back workable)
Maradona (Malgani - my friend insisted on him, and he is utterly friggin' ridiculous)
I'll probably sell Benayoun, Maradona, Van Basten, and maybe Neeskins (though I'll admit that I get immense kicks out of pairing him with Cruijff) next negotiation period. They don't get played enough, they're (mostly) worth a fortune, and I really want another youth keeper and two more defenders, one experienced, one youth (would I be crazy to buy Sissoko back and play him as a Wing/Full Back?). Hopefully, with tightening up in a few places and covering for those who will be retiring or sale/release-worthy in the foreseeable future, I won't have to spend too much more money for a few seasons.
