Where's Yakubu??

I picked up Wii PES2008 yesterday & can't find Yakubu at Everton. From what I can see there's no way to edit it or transfer him but I can't believe they'd have overlooked him given that Everton do have Baines, Jagielka, Pienaar, etc.

Is there a player called Aiyegbeni in the squad? If so, that is him

Doesn't appear to be in the squad at all. I wondered if he's somehow some sort of unlockable star player or something? Seems unlikely I know but I can't believe they'd leave him out.

on the PS3 Yakubu is still at Borough.

To change him all you do is click on everton in edit team, and there should be an "add" button at the top of the list of players, if you click that then go to borough and click on Yakubu he should move to everton

This is just on the PS3 though no idea how it works on the Wii

From what I can see the only edit options in the Wii version are 'edit team name' or 'edit player name' which is actually very poor. I like the game itself & if nothing else at least it's a refreshing change to the same old gameplay. But if they've not included this option I'll be very annoyed!

Is this game any good? I'm tempted to get it but am worried that the shooting is hit and miss, the defending is weak and the lack of edit options might be limiting.

Do you know if it's possible to edit it so that I can transfer him? I know how to do it on other versions but can't find the option on the Wii PES.

I've only had it a day but it's definitely good. The defending isn't actually that bad, initially it seems a bit random but once you get used to assinging man-marking, playing the off-side trap, directing players to make covering runs, and learn how to slide tackle, it's actually surprising how much depth there is to the defence. I would say it's the most 'adult' football simulation I've played despite the weirdly baby-fied menus and presentation.

No idea when the new one is out.

Cool, thats put some of my fears to rest. There's no doubt I'll end up buying it but just wondered if I should wait and pick it up 2nd hand.

Have you checked under the name Ayikbeni or something like that, thats' his other name, might be under that

Hey you gotta try them all!!!

Got rid of my PS3 for a 360 so technically I only have two versions now PSP and 360!

Think I'll leave the Wii version for a bit. After initial rave reviews players comments on various sites seem to be very mixed. Crap about the edit mode features too, or lack of them
