human by a mile, the computer does not pick up on your style of play, me and my best mate are pretty evenly matched now after i told him to start playing the computer on level 5 instead of 2, and it is getting tougher... its harder to fool a human player as they pick up on your little tricks, certain ways you turn if different areas, techniques for shooting, ie lob, keeper comes out to easy on computer playing a human its a bit different.

I've been playing against one of my mates since ISS on the SNES and the competition is unbelievable. I get genuine adrenaline rushes and break into sweats when I play against him. We are both very equal veterans. Most of my other mates have only really played since PES1 and they just get punished every time. I have actually been banned from playing in one of my mates house because no-one can beat me and I just take the piss. It will be better for me when Online comes around, then I can find some proper human competition when my best mate isn't here. Like a lot of you guys. Unfortunately not everyone plays as much PES as I do where I live. So most of the time I play the Master League with hardest settings and have 6 different teams with different tactics and stuff. I enjoy building youth players and creating superteams from scratch, relying on winning cups to pay the wages and living dangerously. But against humans you always get that buzz that dissapears in the ML after about 5 seasons. But the ML mode is superb. Can't. Decide. Must. Make. Choice. Ok voted for humans, but only good ones!

But i have to say these latest versions of the game took away the thrill that once existed. No game made me happier to play than W11 5. With my w11 veteran mate, happiness was scoring a w11 goal,making your team win and trying not to laugh when that happened. The game then was pure: nowadays it has a sort of catch up system that simply ruins the feel. Sad but true

You're right about the catch up. That is what I mean by flukes. It sickens me when you play 75% possesion, pass the other player out of the game, create beautiful chances, have 25 shots wide or off the post with the best strikers going, then you're opponent gets a jammy corner and scores to beat you. They have to get rid of this. It is the only way to find out who truly is the greatest.

jmz the thing is that it happens in real football as well (sometimes). Nobody said football was a game about justice - it rarely is (england v. france rings any bells?)

Some how it isnt the same hurling abuse at a tv screen, they seem to just shake it off. But give them credit they never give up do they!

Also playing the COM can also get a bit repetitive as you learn ways to turn your markers and soon enought it begins to bore you. With a human (or whateva you play with) every game is unique!

humans but i hate it because he good too but me is always winning and hes gettin aggro, talkin shit like im suck, i got just luck, the game is crap etc and gettin crazy. even if i gets him alc or weed he cant shut the fuck up.

gotta be humans. always have such legendary games wit my mate,we bout equal ability so every victory is gr8 cos ya ave to work for it not da crap aganist da cpu were ders like a few fings u can do to guarentee a goal,agenst humans u gotta work at it and every goal is different. ml is kewl till ur team is too gd tho. def vote for humans tho

playing against humans is more realistic and also more defying!playing against the CPU is easy and not very realistic compared to humans

HUMANLOL!!! listen to dis story|one day my mate for christmas brought this game called pro evo soccer i was like what coz before den we never used to play much ps2 but now were allways playing against eachother i think pro evo 3 is way to easy i mean like playing against level 5 is just to EASY!!!! but playin against ur best mate is like level 7 or 8 i mean itz just a whole new playing field playing aganist a human much better dey are not repetive and will try and sik u out or change the way there playing just to suit ur playing style
