Which Formation do you run?

Depends on the team. Put my strongest XI out as far as possible.

But if I had the players at my disposal, I would prefer a 3-4-3, with a narrow diamond midfield, and wide wing-strikers. When I say wide, I mean basically hugging the touchline.

Zyg suggested a good one: 2-2-2-2-2 all fairly central, straight down the field. It actually works pretty well - you swamp the midfield - and quick passing seems to push most of your players into the opponents area, if you set the bias's to "attack".
My personal favourite is 4-3-3 with the 2 WF's tucked just outside & behind the CF, 2 SMF's & 1 DMF. Try Zyg's one though!

I wonder if you put all of your players in the opponents' half on the formation screen the computer would get caught offside all the time...

I play with 2 wingers hugging the lines,one dmf,one omf,one striker and 3 centre halves.I play with beckham as far up rmf as possible,kewell on the other side and henry at left forward latching on to the veron and beckham passes

I play 4-4-2 ('funky' huh?) with 2 dmfs and 2 amfs. I find two dmfs to be the best 'cause they clear up any loose balls and whenever the opposition bring the ball forward they intercept passes etc with ease.

I like to use wingers. Arce is my RB, very attacking. And I use Hadji as a 'fake' RMF, he's more a OMF in my system. He makes space for Arce. Arce goes down the wing, crosses it, and there is Jardel to header the ball in

Actually its 4 defenders and 1 really defensive midfielder and 1 centre midfielder and 1 offensive midfielder/forward and 3 forwards.

I run a 4-4-2 - similar positions to what the game gives Arsenal's formation. I like it cos there's a wall of midfield and i can use it to play on the wings, or go down the centre and pass it off to my 2 strikers.

On paper, it's ain't sexy football but when i play it however..

It sounds terrible put it really suits my style of play. I used to use 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 put I decided to pick a random formation one day and i stuck with it!
