Lets be honest here, Henry is the best striker in the world. When he's on the pitch, Arsenal plays in form. When he's injured, he is sorely missed. I know that people will think Shev, Ronaldo, Eto are better. But let me say this, Shev just isn't as fast or finish as well. He missed easily a shot that would have won the Champions League for AC Milan in OT then missed a PK. Ronaldo is in his prime and is brilliant but he's often injured more than Henry and b/c of his previous injury... he has never regained what we all thought he'd hit 8 yrs ago when he surfaced. Eto has gained a lot recently and is very promising, but Henry was leading the Premiership and Arsenal to glory far before Eto even arived to Barca. Henry is simply what I feel the perfect striker ought to be. He makes up for his lack of heading with perfect finishing. That's all i feel a striker is designed for... to finish and score goals!

in pes5 henry is one of the best if not the best...great areal strength , good at freekicks..dribbling shooting...body balance..he has everything...
but in real life...
he is not proven in big matches..always dissapointing when he is needed the most..ronaldinho is way way better than him...he caused havoc on ac milans n chelseas defence..2 teams that have the best defences in the world...but i would love to see henry move to barcelona and prove me wrong that he is really that good...

In PES5 is it just me or is Henry, despite his excellent Top Speed & Acceleration stats, he is slow and can easily be caught?

Anyway the two best forwards Ive used in Pro5 are Cruyff, he can do it all and play anywhere, excellent. But the best for me is van Basten, he is slow and all that but he can shoot... Volleys are his trademark, he can hit them!

No one mentioned Maradona, he's got technique, balance, speed, shooting and the godly dribbling skills. George Best, Garrincha, Ronaldinho and Brian Ludrup can all score and dribble as well.

for me playing with man u in the master league my top scorers are smith and rooney,smith has developed into a cracking player and keeps ruud out the team

Tevez is class aswell, along with Torres.

Henry is the best forward in the video game. He has all the stats.
For anyone saying otherwise can you say why ronaldo, shev, rooney, or adriano are better? (just naming some of the popular picks here, all good ones mind you)

I do love adriano's shot, but henry has a very accurate shot, he's fast, can dribble, can pass. His point totals have got to be higher than any of the other stars (not counting classic players)

If we're talking ML players and not just as is, then you'd have to think Rooney will turn out to be magnificant, he's pretty damn good already.

Real life: I think ronaldinho wins footballer of the year for a reason, he's magic on the ball. He took Chelsea apart by himself (well with a bit of help, but still)

it has got to be adriano. as soon as he gets the ball from about 40 yards out you know that the ball will end up in the back of the net.when im playin with inter i play 4-5-1 so that i can get the ball into him quikly. But when you are winning by 3 on 6 star all the time it gets a bit boring so ive gone onlineand its now a different challenge all together. my winning percentage is only 50% lol
