I go for for lower age, a nice blend of nationalities and better skills over the big names (eg Cafu).
You can question Mihajlovic but he's the best left footed free kick taker in the game so is useful at times....

i got campbell on my game in the euro team.... but thats only cos he's tall and powerful. i would probably go with cannavaro in real life.

i really have to question el hadji diouf.... he's pretty crap mate. and batistuta is past it. you might as well stick mark viduka up front or something as apposed to them!

Maybe there's an argument for why he shouldn't be in the starting 11 but he is good! Are you confusing him with someone else? Diouf is the main striker of Senegal. Wasn't he African player of the year too?
Some people swear by Bati-boy. He has great stats and can finish anything. He is old but if you take out one of the best strikers (shooting wise) in the game, it'd be unfair on the world elite team.
The best front 3 for world elite could be
Rivaldo -- Batistuta -- Ronaldo
with Recoba and Ronaldinho just behind.

i think recoba is much better than batistuta and can play just behind ronaldo and rivaldo.

yeah, i knew charlton were interested but we cudnt afford his wages!!! lol. i havnt seen him play for inter since the roma v inter game, which was superb, 0-0 at half time, then finished 3-3! Anyway...perhaps hes injured or something???

I have to say Diouf is rubbish. In the world cup he spent most of the time being offside and I think he only scored 1 goal. He may have been African player of the year but he's rubbish for Liverpool and his attitude sucks (see Celtic game for details). What about Mboma?

lol. Samuel Eto'o is currently on fire for Mallorca, and has suggested he would like to play in the premiership. He'd be good at a club like charlton, or man city, like one of the smaller teams. Anyone know what nationality he is?

BTW guys, I thought this was supposed to be about picking the teams based on players in the game due to their stats, not down to their real life prominence and fame.
Of course Diouf and Mboma are pants IRL but in the game, check their stats and they kick ass big time.
