To be fair to him...he's rubbish! lol. Seriously though, he could be really good...just needs a kick up the arse. And a transfer to a diff little premiership team (like Everton?)

i agree, send heskey up here!! but for a cut price. also, everyone knows that the only person gauranteed a place in that world stars bench(not starting) is king henrik of sweden.

He has been absolutely phenomenal for Celtic. A class striker for sure...would be nice to see how he would do in the Premiership. With Owen? Rooney? Henry?

rooney?!? he hasnt done enough yet to be considered one of the best. youve overlooked quite a few good players there, ie van nistelrooy, beattie, shearer, gudjohnsen, viduka

Was just thinking who he could pair well with. RVN and Larson are similar players. Beattie also needs more time. Shearer is getting old. Gudjohnsen is similar. But Viduka could work dammit! Just love Rooney's display against Turkey. But yeah, it's early doors for Roonaldo!

what i saying is, its not that rooney isnt ready, its just that it isnt his turn yet. with shearer, the next season could be his last, thats the only reason i suggested him(apart from his uncanny knack of goalscoring, amazing ability to win it in the air, and superb attitude towards the game) whereas beattie, i dont think you can say he hasnt developed yet, he was the top scoring englishman in the premiership, only one behind henry and two behind RVN, i think that takes some ability.

"superb attitude towards the game"
No way! He maybe a complete professional but he is dirty and a total whiner! As for Beattie, it's the same case as Andy Cole. He is the 2nd highest scorer in the Premiership since its inception. But he was at Man U where the service to Cole was outstanding (just like his song)... so even a brick could have scored goals in his position. Beattie is the focus of 99% of Saints attacks. He will definitely score a lot of goals as they have few other choices to use. I believe the real test is internationally and Europe. And so far Beattie has been ineffectual in his short runout. Maybe tonight he'll do well in SA? But next season he have the UEFA cup and maybe a few more England games?

You're wrong.

Diouf is one of the best strikers. He is also a great asister. He has resonable dribble skills which tormented Sweden and France. The only reason Turkey beat these guys was because of cheating.Diouf and Camara did not perform either.Diouf can finish. The only thing wrong is that he complains to much.About the fan incident , fans need to keep their mouths shut.Do you know how it feels to go out in the quarter finals after a poor season and fans are telling you that you played crap, you should be subbed and stuff like that. Those fans are lucky, if it was me I would throw my boots at them, the whole goal bar or just jump kick them and piece of the turf at them.Idiots!!

This was supposed to be about the players in the game.
Maybe someone should start a strikers debate over in the off-topic section?

Not a fan of too many keepers.
I go for for lower age, a nice blend of nationalities and better skills over the big names (eg Cafu).
You can question Mihajlovic but he's the best left footed free kick taker in the game so is useful at times....

You can't change the default formations so they have to be
Euro: 4-4-2
World: 3-4-3

Nice one I'll try it.:D
