Who cares who started first? The only thing that matter is, which is better. Be a Legend mode far outstrips FIFA's 4 season pro mode.

I believe it was on a japanese version of pes (winning eleven) before fifa, but was never bought over to Europe till now, not sure why though.

The mode was originally for the winning eleven series, it was called fantasia mode, apparently it was popular in Japan but never inplemented in the Euro versions (PES)for whatever reason, Then came be a pro (FIFA) and then BAL (PES). So the idea was Konami's originally.

Neither. Libero Grande did it in 1998 and some game did it in the 80s on the Amiga I forget the name. But between EA and Konami, Konami did it 1st.

There was a game called Player Manager back in 1997 or so that allows you to play one player and develop as he progresses through his career. You can also get contract offers from clubs etc and you can buy (virtual) stuff with your salary e.g. house, car, laptop, etc.

ISS 2000 (Konami) had it on the N64 and that was 8 years ago, in some ways it was better than both FIFAs and Pro Evo's, but i tried playing it a couple of weeks ago and i must say we have come far with gaming technology in 8 years!
