Why are Nike, Reebok etc. Losers!!

Am i the only 1 who thinks that Nike, Reebok and all the other sponsors are stupid. Adidas and Umbro are the only ones with a bit of sense! If all the real brands and sponsors would allow games to have them on the kits than they would make a lot more money. If, for example, Man Utd's kit had the Nike tick and the Vodafone logo then both of them companies would get noticed all over the world. Would someone explain to me why the badges, logos etc. aren't in the game or do you feel the same way too?

Firstly, welcome to the forums! You like everyone else on these forums is frustrated with a lack of licenses in the game. The 6 clubs which have licenses are a glimpse of what is to come in the future from Konami. Juventus sponsor Nike so maybe next year, there will be more licenses to come! Man Utd, Arsenal Inter and Barcelona maybe! We can only hope!

Thanx for the welcome and thanx for putting my mind at rest about da kits. Lets hope in PES4 that more teams have the real kits and badges! Cheers!

Hi... I dont agree with you saying Umbro is even in the same level of ADIDAS... ADIDAS are the best and UMBRO had its moments but now their design is lame. I really like nike, but i must agree that their new line of kits introduced in 2002 with tringles and lines everywhere is pure bad design. I loved their kits in EURO2000. They where so simple yet so functional. Adidas keeps this in mind. Simplicity. I dont even bother talking about reebok as they dont seem to have an overall design. But its just my opinion. You what to know something? What I really would like to see in PES4? I wouldnt mind if there wasnt any licences! I woul really prefer Oficial design kits to chose from. ADIDAS, NIKE, REEBOK, PUMA, UMBRO, LOTTO and so on. That way you could really edit any team. I dont mind about publicity!

mikey just get the jonboyo 1.12.03 patch and you have sponsors such as nike,reebok,adidas,coca-cola,pepsi,fuji-film,barclycard...and real kits with sponsors.

You know that Jonboyo patch, is it for PS2 or for for PC? I have tha game on PS2 and I am hoping to invest in an X-Port after crimbo. Do you know if it's for the X-Port and where you get it from?

And to ChristiMAN, I agree that umbro aren't on the same level as adidas as far as marketing goes, but they are the only two manufacturers who let their logos be in the game. I think you mis understood me.

Nike are in the game, though only on one team's top.

Juventus are licensed, and their kits are made by Nike. So technically they are in the game - however, not really as much as they should be.

So yes, your point is valid. Konami should just go for complete sponsorship next time - that would shut all the FIFA fanboys up. "Your game doesn't have licensing hahah", etc.

hmm nike sponsors are on a few jerseys atleats 6 teams not including national teams. You dont need an x-port mikey..all you need is a dvd-rom, a cd-rom burner, cd-r, some form of modification to your PS2(chip,slidecard,fliptop..etc)..then you just download the software to rip the game..and you download the patch (about 110mb) from the editing section of PeInsight. It Maked pes3 99.99% perfect..the way it was meant to be with full sponsors and kits!

i hope if theey do get all the licenses etc... we should still be able to have an edited kit for that team!

i would like the nike, adidas badges etc available to attach to my edited strips.
also, in the same way you can design your own badge, you should be able to make bigger versions of that and put it anywhere on the kit, e.g "MAT" where Vodafone is on United's shirt!

I think that pehaps EA sports have liscences with these teams which state that only they can use official sponsors, names etc.

BUT as we can see from a thread in the forum 80% of the teams for WE8 will be licensed.

Yeah patching is the best answer! thats the truth really its not the fact nike reebok and others dont get approached to endorse all these computer games they make their money from the gaming world, from the Shocking Fifa series!!!! mayb one for them to consider in the future
