Why can't I change difficulties in Master League

I have the Wii version, so I don't know the HD consoles have the same problem. This is my first ever PES game and I'm still trying to find my comfort zone. I find Regular a little too easy. Professional is too hard for me right now. I want to start a Master League but I don't want to be stuck with the Regular mode for the rest of ML.

Because some games have certain options and features while other games have different ones. And it's been that way since the dawn of time when cave men hit each other over the head with Atari game consoles. And yes, in other versions of the game (PC) one can change difficulty in ML. Heck, there's even an editing tool that allows you to switch teams in ML if you feel like managing a new team.
