why cant i change or load the optionfile?

I heard that you have to install PES 2008 in a certain map or you would not be able to use the option file. Every time I start the game I being asked to choose game level, and the stats i changed on some player are, back to normal. Loading works in the way that I can load, but my saved option file is just like the basic one. Whats wrong?
