Why didn't they incorporate CL in the Master league?

Ok i'll be honest i think the champions league is one of the coolest features that pes has ever put into the game but i was so disappointed to find out the they didnt put the champions league into the master league. They still keep using the "European Championship." I really think for pes 2010 they should put cl into the master league, i mean it would make master league a lot more realistic.

exactly my point, konami are so gay!! fobing us off with this stupid extra game mode, when it should naturally be apart of master league anyway. CONami they should be called.

champions league is so boring after u won it once, i agree 100% that they should have added it 2 the master league it would have been much better.

I think the fact they would need 8 teams from each of the leagues would have made it a bit unrealistic, If they are to but it in ML Mode they will need about 8 leagues (4 teams from each) Although I wouldn't be bothered with the European championship format with the CL adboards, trophy and ball, Its pretty cool how they integrated CL mode with the League mode, was very pleased at that.

In the Master League's European Championship, do you at least get the official champions league adboards, trophy and ball?

Not having CL integrated was KONAMI's way of getting us to buy PES2010.

Another dumb decision by seabass, its not much to ask is it? PES 2009 is a half-assed game just like 2008 imo, so many simple things could have improved the game, and the suggestion made above is a prime example.

Why cant we have real money in the master league mode?
Why cant we switch teams mid season in the master league mode?
Why can't we have players than can play more than 3 games in a row without dying on the pitch?
If konami are making a big deal about the CL inclusion in PES 2009, include it in the ML and license all the fucking teams, fucks sake, in the 'next gen' versions you have a licensed liverpool and man u with no old tradford or anfield. (but you can get these stadium on the ps2 version, just no CL lmao)

Simple Lasiness from Seabass et al.

steev09 has made a very good point with what he said, although they could keep the same format as they have now, but call it the Uefa champions league, use the real ball and ad boards, and use the real trophy!!!

I don't mind them not using the Champions League in the Master League mode - ML is hardly aiming for a perfect imitation of real football is it? Whereas with the Leagye mode, that is more realistic, so putting the CL in there is a much better idea.

Oh ho ho, I see what you've done there.

Anyone ever think it might have been a clause in the contract? Nope, didn't think so.

The licensing isn't Konami's fault.

EA Sports & FIFA have offical licensing of teams around the world till 2010 at least. Which is why the Spanish League is not Licensed in 09 also.. The stadiums are to do with EA too. I think it has something to do with the England League and FIFA.

If the stadiums are with EA, how come you get them in the PS2 version?

Whats the point in integrating the CL into the one game mode where u cant transfer or buy new players?

And the ps2 version has more licensed Spanish sides straight out of the box than the next gen versions do, what the fuck is that about?

Its called lazy konami rushing the game out for oct/nov every year regardless of the finished product, we've already seen seabass imply he releases unfinished games, this one was obviously no different

I doubt it. They did that in the US with the NFL. No one else can make an NFL game until like 2012 or something.

I don't know that EA would get the cooperation or have the money (or want to spend it if they did) to exclusively license all the teams, players, and stadiums from all the leagues around the world. I hadn't heard anything about it.

Furthermore, if what you said is true, how would Konami still have a handful of officially licensed teams? I'm guessing Konami either doesn't have the money or doesn't want to pay for all the licenses. Which is garbage, imo.

You do realise that Konami has a fraction of EA's money? And EA have thus bought as many licenses as they can. The reason Konami has got a few licenses is due to the deals EA have signed with certain leagues; e.g. in England Konami can only ever have 2 teams licensed, whereas in Italy they seem to be able to have all the licenses.
