Why does it seem like my players are Constipated!?

Hi!
After mastered most of the game and won in all levels, I have learned much good and bad. This game is a freaking cheat when you play at higher levels.
I have gathered the Fastest team possible (cause it seems speed is what will get you the titles in this flawfull game) but still when playnig at 6* with in form (red/yellow up arrow) away to Crap teams with the slowest players on earth, my players seem constipated and slow while the other teams players (COM) run like if they have Pepper up their arses!?!?!? is this the only way the Game can be difficult/harder, by freaking cheating?
not to mention the way the ball always bounces to COM players, the way you never get a freekick unless they break your legs? the tripping from behind when your free on goal? I mean there are so many flaws in this game that makes your hair fall out even if you win.....or is it just me?

This cheating thing has been mentioned many times... constipation hasn't been part of any previous theories though. It is really annoying when you're just about to shoot when the defender behind you cuts the legs out from under you and the ref doesn't seem to notice. Even though your player has started waving his hands in the air like a lunatic! Grrrr

I played against Japan the other day and I was the Czech Republic - it was on 6 stars (PS2 version) and didnt win one header all game !!!

At least it is better than FIFA 05.
At Professional or World Class the CPU does nothing but cheat. All of a sudden your players start to stumble (which is not normal in FIFA) and trip while trying to steal the ball from way out by the CPU. This never happens in two player mode and the CPU never trips. And of course there are the perfect shots from the CPU.

I would coinsider the CPU flaws in PES to be minimal.

Never had the CPU cheat on me.

Except for one time with a BLATENT handball to clear the ball off the goal-line. But that's it.

This whole 'cheating' thing is sub-conscious IMO. You think the CPU might cheat so you pick up on every little free-kick you dont get and every time the ball bounces funny. I have never found the referee to favour the CPU at all.

WE8 never calls handballs, half my sliding tackles, my hand makes contact with the ball, cpu too, never calls it. I've seen both cpu and player-controlled characters stop the ball with hands sometimes when it bounces....big deal, it really doesn't mater unless like stevie's case.

Hehe Jepp to me they seem constipated....
I have Jibriil Cisse Top speed 98 Acc 93 but he was slower than Alvaro Both Speed and Acc under 80!!! To me thats a freaking Cheat when he beats me to a ball.
I think best thing is to Stay at 5* cause 6* is just so ridiculous, its COMS way or the high way. No headers can be wom, No Duels, No 1on1 defending, you never get a damn freekick, once both Ronaldinho and Cisse was fouled from behind in the pnalty area, you think I got a penalty!? Noooooo.
Amazing how the COM slidetackles from behind and gets the ball..when I do that I have a red or Yellow card.
Ive also never had this many attacking-fouls....my player is running towards goal, a player trips me from behind...an another from the side...they get the free kick..huh!?!? What!? Its a f**king cheat!!

This game is better than Fifa but it doesnt mean its good!! Cause when you have eaten Cow-shit for years any cracker or cookie tastes good, get my drift!!

Handballs are quite rare in PES4, sometimes you just think its a foul but the commentator actually makes some comment about handballs.

Sometimes on 6* you are beaten to the ball and somtimes maybe you dont get a free kick that would have been given on an easier difficulty - its not that unreasonable though. The challenge of 6* is being able to play and win even though you have these barriers - play it enough though and you barely notice.

The computor does cheat, my mate scored a freekick in injury time too make it 2-1 to him and it was disallowd and he lost on penaltys, lol!

Why do you think the 6* isn't availible from the begining? IMO Because the hightes AI "fair play" level is 5* and 6* is reached by giving cpu some advantages. BTW in FIFA (World Class level) cpu cheats like hell.

My commentator never says anything about handballs, and every time I think I see one, I replay it. On average, playing about 3 games per day, 15 minute match, I see 10 or more handballs.

I never get the ball in corners, COM1 always gets the rebound, even If I had a Player under the ball.

But I win always in level 6, unless I play Costa Rica, pass, pass from right side to left side, move the ball a lot, when I score the wining goal in the last 3 minutes, my players become rude and stop the flaw by kicking everything.

what on earth are you talking about? the game is stupidly easy on anything apart from 6*. if you don't win headers and the like it's probably because you let the computer position your players instead of using the R2 free movement and the glorious "super cancel" function. if you use the full range of controls in the game you can easily beat the cpu on 6*. as for speeds, i simply can't agree. if you play as a team with superfast wingers it gets dull because you can always get past the cpu defenders and down to the byline.

The CPU does cheat sometimes. Last time, i had like 2 people pressing a CPU player which had much lower Balance than my players and he just walked through them. That's wat pisses me off most.

It doesn't matter how many stars I play the cpu on I still hop em off the 4 walls.
In my first game ever of WE9 the other day I beat the cpu (Brazil) 4-0 on 5 stars.

What a pants thread.

Its a cracking game, simple as that, and the AI is much better than anything else out there.

OK, so there does seem to be a bit of "catch-up logic" in the game, but actually often it is simply part of the AI anyway. Ok, the speed can seem a little stupid sometimes, but I'd like to see anyone on here program the perfect organic AI system for a PES. It's still possible to beat the game on any level, and stuff 6* teams 10-0 on master league (and then lose 1-0!!!).. It's not actually as if it happens all the time. If you play the game how it should be played, you'll not notice any catch up logic.
