Why I Think PES 2013 should Be built from Demo #1

demo 2 I liked as well a lot. the most actually :). but it did take away some that was in demo 1. what I'm saying is, not that demo 1 is the best, , its just not same, I'm saying It should be the basis, because of what it has that woks well.

isn't the retail pes2012 built from demo 1 and 2 with tweeks and patches added to it? They should just fix 2012, its got great potential if they fix the nagging issues..

1 shooting
2 super dribbling
3 game speed too fast
4 goalies
5 through passes
6 passing
7 crossing
8 scripting
9 dumb deflections
10 filter super teams for online

Konami should seriously sit down and address those issues, release a super patch for Xmas and make the whole world happy ! The game is FINE, it just needs a real patch!

I'd rather pes 2011's sloppy dribbling than this years ridiculousness.Skilled players last years could prosper last year , but it's a silly n00b game this year.

Pes 2011 dribbling was worse than this years. I know this year's is too unrealistic but last year you couldn't even turn in. It should be the middle of pes 2011 and pes 2012. Everything is too responsive this year meaning the game will feel to light while last years was too heavy.

Konami needs to FIX this GAME before XMAS. We all spend our money on it.

And after DEMO 2, we all thought the game had a bright future, but after patch 2.0 the game has turned to a c***

I thinking in buy FIFA 12 and giving them a chance.

Completely agree with you man. Demo 1 imo has the least scripted moments (on rails moments) of all pes games. The freedom of attacking (receiving) a pass is great and the 50-50 balls felt like actual 50-50 balls not like in demo2 and the retail version which felt more scripted. Nice job on highlighting the difference in the cpu team/individual ai. I have v1.1 , cant stand the cpu defence in v1.2 the cpu just keep on backing up while in v1.1 its very aggressive. I prefer v1.1 because its more challenging and rewarding, its not the most realistic thing in the world but its fun. The dribbling in demo 1 is bad though imo, its slippery and i dont really feel the difference from a player who is an average dribbler to a good dribbler (which they fixed in the retail version imo which is also feels more grounded). I wish Konami will find a way to polish out the "super cancel" system and implement it as the standard system of movement in pes13 i think its a good 1st step in making a game with total freedom of movement.

Great Vids man, any tips in defending and winning headers in defensive corner situations? its driving me nuts! thanks man. More tutorial videos please :)

If you watched the video, full version had many issues. instead of konami building from there last versions, which most games do, I'm saying they should go back to there first version and build from that? you say well, didn't konami build from demo 1. in some way yes, but truthfully, they took a lot out that made demo 1 good, I feel they should go back to demo 1 as it had so much potential, and honestly, least amount of scripting, and also, the a.i probably played in the most varied ways. even in demo 2, it became somewhat stagnant in off ball movement, and also, the cpu all defended deep if you recall, and played counter, running down the wings and crossing it, and many more problems came as the version of pes 2012 progressed. they need to go back to the basics.

No offense, but the vid the dude posted is pretty much just the in game training with nothing adding.

this is on 1-1 defending
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxA_qsRzuzM

this is on winning headers in the middle of the pitch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68yI3_E2JWc

also, the best way to defend headers on corners in the box is , to hold L2 then press clear button. works 75-85% of the time . try it out. not sure why the L2 seems to work better clearing headers defensively and R2 better for winning headers offensively. try out both in different in a bunch of different situations and you'll know within minutes when to you use which button.

tutorial on team defending coming soon.

Pes 2011 dribbling was worse than this years. I know this year's is too unrealistic but last year you couldn't even turn in. It should be the middle of pes 2011 and pes 2012. Everything is too responsive this year meaning the game will feel to light while last years was too heavy.

That's a good way of putting it; personally, I think that the "heavy" feeling adds to the player individuality, I think that Konami should go back to that "heavy" feeling and mix it with an all new dribbling mechanic of "movement within space" in order to further add to the player individuality.

What Konami did with PES12, is that they dumbed down the dribbling, made it more light and responsive, and now it's much closer to feeling like the PS2 versions of PES, more arcade than simulation; though the problem is, the majority of people do not want that in year 2012.

Konami needs to make the full conversion to ANALOG, that's the only way I can see them getting their fans back; otherwise, all the "tweaks" in the world, will never win them their fans back, simply because EA Sports is better at doing that.

I'm saying they should go back to there first version and build from that? you say well, didn't konami build from demo 1. in some way yes, but truthfully, they took a lot out that made demo 1 good, I feel they should go back to demo 1 as it had so much potential, and honestly, least amount of scripting, and also, the a.i probably played in the most varied ways.

That's the problem with "tweaks" -- "tweaks" never actually fix the problems, instead the "tweaks" merely rearrange the problem in an effort to minimize how noticeable it is; going back to demo 1 and building from there, will make absolutely no difference, it's not that simple, Konami needs to stop with the endless "tweaks" and simply accept defeat, go back to the drawing board, and come back with something that deserves to be "tweaked" as opposed to a PS2 era turd which cannot possibly be "tweaked" any further.

The same goes for FIFA12: the animations are better, the game feels more organic, but the game is very much a PS2 era turd at its core.

Thanks man, my style on defending is primarily left stick only, ocasionaly pressing r2 to reposition and r1 + r2 for jostling while running. It really works well for me now, im enjoying defending now but there's a lot of babysitting when defending, cpu teamates seem to be all over the place. To me in demo 1 the cpu seems commited to marking open men but the retail version it seems the cpu is kinda loose and all to often caught out of position especially the wing defending which is chaotic and involves a lot of babysitting but its still fun, just cant help the feeling that this was a missed opportunity, demo 1 feels very organic. Gonna try the L2 method, but recently discovered that when the corner kick is taken and when the auto switch occurs, i stick to that player and not switch(L1) anymore and now im winning a lot of headers. Maybe i was just playing it wrong, i hate the auto switching when defending corners but pes12 is an improvement, i wish konami would take out this auto switching on corners but to its credit you feel the chaos on defending corner in this way. Thanks man

I just don't understand- why do people want the game to be more heavy than responsive?
Pes 6 was responsiveness so why do people complain pes 2011 was better than 12?
