Why no xbox version of PES3

I was looking to buy a console, now I don't want to start a debate to consoles but was just wondering why no PES3 for xbox? Find it strange that the pc and ps2 can have it and yet they wont release it on xbox. Do you think it has something to do with Sony not allowing them or is it a console issue that perhaps they cant port it to the xbox.

ive never played on an x-box, i dont know wot the controls are like or how the graphics are etc, but i do know that more people have ps2s than any other console. it makes sense to make pes for the console that has the widest circulation.

By the way, Konami will make a football game for the xbox, it will be out some time next year. Maybe it's not PES3, but they WILL make a footy game for the xbox. And the S-controler for the xbox is actually quit good! Cheers...

....I like the bigger controller personally. The only problem that would arise is the L2/R2 situation.

*begins to make phone calls, write letters and a generally plead with/to Konami to transfer PES4 to Xbox*

a friend of mine also has an xbox and i also wonder how they would use the actions for L2/R2?

In my opinion the PS2 controller is the best designed controller ever for a console :)

i heard that pes3 was scheduled to be released on the xbox in december but complications occured. Apparantly konami wanted a share of the profits of xbox live (the version of internet game play on xbox), which for the nature of pro evolution would have been very profitable. However, microsoft rejected this, so plans for the game have been pulled which is a shame. i have an xbox and i am really impressed by its graphics and speed. if pes3 ever got on the xbox, i think it will then finally overtake fifa in terms of purchases

NB: ordered my ps2 and pes3 on monday from amazon. they have delivered the pes3, but no ps2 so far. its frustrating having the game and reading the manual with no console to play it on. when they do deliver my ps2, i just hope i dont get (at least dont notice) any stutter bug. Looking forward to it, the manual has got my mouth watering, which is more than the full game of fifa 2004 on the xbox had done for me!

...let's hope that common sense prevails and that the next version of PES get released on all console's. I have both PS2 and XBox and I do prefer the XBox. Having said that, this isn't a thread about which concole is better...it's about playing the best damn football game (except CM, but that's a different sort of game..) on the console YOU choose to use.
