I know for a fact a few peolpe are going to hate me for this, but i dont care.

I was playing pro evo 3, i was england, playin against france in the world cup final, apart from the disgraceful and appalling fouls that france did against me(which by the way i didn't get 1 freekick in the whole game!!!), it was going pretty well, I was winning 1-0. I know that the referee desicions are bad, but OMG i wanted to snap the disk in half. I 'apparently' gave away a yellow card i didn't!! challenge(which i didn't even press anything!!) 30 yards from the goal line. It was in stoppage time in the 2nd half, i thought, it would be VERY convenient if they were to score. OH YEP!!!!!!! they scored, what a suprise!
It came to extra time, i hit the bar 4!!! times and the post 3!! times, i was gop smacked.
It came to penalties, which i can bet my life on, are fiixed. I didn't score once!! The keeper saved 2 and the others went wide, i must stress that when i aimed the ball in the middle, low, it went wide,...how can it go wide wen i aim in the middle, maybe over, but not wide.
As you have come to the conclusion, I lost!!
I can bet my life that most of you reading this will instantly think of an excuse, that im crap at the game or maybe i was having a bad game. My point is that this ALWAYS happens, the game is fixed!
Main reason that its not 'coz im crap', as i mentioned before, france scored a freekick in the last second and the game f**ked me up in penalties.
I cant wait for you all to criticise me..........this reminds me in real life, when france beat england 2-1, and scored 2 goals in 3 minutes.

well mate same happens to me most of the time, its just normal that the com needs to win, it'd do watever to make u lose, which is ofcourse, cheating. a lot of fouls and even those from the back and they r not given, and IF given not cards shown, strikers missin 1 on 1s and a lot of post and bar hittin. defenders become supermen, even ur own shadow cant follow u the same way they do, if u barely touch em u get a red card (and yes that happened to me twice i never slided for the ball i just pressed on him from the side and i got a red card, impressive). well shit like this shud happen in komani's opinion coz maybe that makes the game more realistic just like fate plays its role. ah well. its still the best game :)

By saying it reminds you of real life when France beat England in injury time, you're basically saying that the England-France game was fixed, too.

The word everyone's looking for is bow-locks.

it is far from perfect, but still enjoyable, and the best.......and as for your conspiracy theory,I've won over 50 matches on the trot......says it all....if you are good enough you pump them regardless.

i have never actually hit the ball low in the middle and its gone over before in a penalty
maybe when you press the directional button to go low you let go of it too early so thats why.
Think bout it!

I can agree with u there the problems as i see it are:

- The keepers always manage to save 1 on 1
- James is one of the worlds best keepers in PES hes not
- The computer players always seem to beat an attacker with 99 speed 2 the ball
- keepers always make bad clearences
- The crappest teams in reallife seem to be amazing on PES3
- Theres hardly no stoppage time
- some offsides are not actually offsides eg. intercepted pass backs from defenders
- Handball was good at first but now its just annoying
- Its impossible to score freekicks
- defending is always bad
- shots where the bar is tiny and they still go way over the bar
- PK's seem to b random in the way some miss and some score
- The Computer in 5* scores very fluky goals
- In the Final of a 2 legged tournament the final has 2 legs too.

Its good to know dat people know wat iz talkin about. No im english, not italian.
And whoever said 'By saying it reminds you of real life when France beat England in injury time, you're basically saying that the England-France game was fixed, too.'
is a dumb tit, as deres a difference between real life and computer games.
And yes i do agree dat even wat pro evo does its da best footy game, much better dan FIFA.

I'ts easy to score 1 on 1?

- James is one of the worlds best keepers in PES hes not
Worlds best keepers? Hmmm, he's good but not world class. PES3 came out last year don't forget, he wasn't playing that good back then IRL.

- The computer players always seem to beat an attacker with 99 speed 2 the ball
I can agree the Comp "cheats" sometimes

- keepers always make bad clearences
They're not that bad?

- The crappest teams in reallife seem to be amazing on PES3
Not really, its pretty easy to beat poorer teams

- Theres hardly no stoppage time
Keep the ball away from the middle of the field if its in stoppage time, the ref won't blow the whistle then. It's fixed in PES4 anyway, it shows how much stoppage time is gonna be played

- some offsides are not actually offsides eg. intercepted pass backs from defenders
Don't think ive ever had an pass back being an offside. But offsides can be annoying though.

- Handball was good at first but now its just annoying
It's fixed in WE7:Int, hardly any handballs, no doubt it'll be the same for PES4

- Its impossible to score freekicks
Impossible??? It's very easy to score free kicks

- defending is always bad
Comp defending yeah, your own defending not really if you know what you're doing

- shots where the bar is tiny and they still go way over the bar
Happens in real life too, players miss easily

- PK's seem to b random in the way some miss and some score
True, not really a bad thing though.

- The Computer in 5* scores very fluky goals
True, but that's 5 stars for you. :p

Let me go through with you on this

The computer always manages to save 1 on 1s
(This depends on ability of the player. i find it really easy to score 1 on 1s.)

David james is the best keeper.
(The game shows ability. the stats are correct for james i think cause keepers better than him have got better stats. he is actually a very good keeper, stats wise, but he makes mistakes. there is no statistic ffor mistakes)

The computer players always seem to beat an attacker with 99 speed 2 the ball
(Its the only way to make the game harder. the computer cheats. play on 1* you'll always be winning the ball.)

Theres hardly no stoppage time
(there is more than enough. just start a game and see how long it is before you get to three minutes, in game time, stoppage time ends up being longer.)

The crappest teams in reallife seem to be amazing on PES3
(don't even have to comment. thats ridiculous. some times teams with better tactics win but i dont think iran would beat france with the best tactics. i do have to admit the usa are very good in the game but then again they are reanked higher than england.)

some offsides are not actually offsides eg. intercepted pass backs from defenders
(Never happened to me)

Handball was good at first but now its just annoying
like danny said its fixed in we7:int. but were talking about pes3. this is true. i have to agree with you on this one.

PK's seem to b random in the way some miss and some score
(look at the condition/form of the player, you know the arrows.)

The Computer in 5* scores very fluky goals
(just cause its 5* it doesnt mean it can only score amazing goals. look at the best teams in the world they score simplae goals too.

yea but we all have to agree that the com cheats. BIG time. some stuff r so weird ud just watch and say "wat the fUk!!" lol

I'd have to say 1 on 1 scoring is fairly easy, freekick scoring isn't too hard either, and stoppage time lasts forever if the ball is around the 18 yard box (I timed it once, and converted to "game time" it lasted 25 minutes...long enough for you?). Having said that, the COM is a cheating bastard, the ref is blind, and a lot of throw ins are given to the wrong team. The speed of COM defenders is a load of crap, and handballs were never good.

I scored a really satisfying goal yesterday. I usually play on 3* and just made the jump to 5 so I took a fair few beatings, but in the last game my midfielder made a diagonal run which dragged three defenders over, leaving him with a nice through ball to my striker. The striker was 1 on 1 with the goalie, faked a shot with his right and scored with his left. Simple I suppose, but very sweet :D (It was Scotland (me) against France too, and I won 1-0).

1. dont kick it straight at the keeper then
2. form + clumsiness arent abilities in pes3 so go figure
3. they do seem to do that but i dont throw a hissy fit over it
4. keepers dont always make bad clearances
5. ive noticed that, but i beat them anyway
6. well considering the time is speeded up, what do you expect?
7. thats true, same goes for long balls
8. handball was never good
9. learn how to take free kicks
10. learn how to defend
11. to do with the players shot acc. + how well he hit the ball
12. makes sense
13. learn how to defend
14. what?

firstly, free-kicks are good i score about 1 of every 5 and there is plenty of players i know who have a much better percentage of goals scored from them, to deffinatly not too hard

and covering the list:

The computer always manages to save 1 on 1s
with any player, you can do a shot fake and the keeper will ALWAYS fall for it is a joke, but its not hard its just stupidly easy

David james is the best keeper.
I think thats a matter of opinion, i think hes over-rated and the stats are fine

The computer players always seem to beat an attacker with 99 speed 2 the ball
i agree but you do things like passing, 1-2s and tricks and you'll never notice

Theres hardly no stoppage time
it seems to depend when the ball is lost near half-way, you can have 10 corners during stoppage time and it won't run out.

The crappest teams in reallife seem to be amazing on PES3
its true with teams like Leeds i never seem to lose with them but i think alot of its down to the formation and tactics i use

some offsides are not actually offsides eg. intercepted pass backs from defenders
yeah thats true, but overall there is about 90% less mistakes that in real-life, heh.

Handball was good at first but now its just annoying
it was never good, it just sucks

PK's seem to b random in the way some miss and some score
and... they are penalties - its just luck

The Computer in 5* scores very fluky goals
i only ever play 5* and the goals arn't flukey, they are always either well-worked or from a mistake by the defence...

so my only reason why pes 3 would suck - its just too easy, but i think i've just over-played it and need to wait for pes4 and its 6* brilliance :D

What about all the other things that are utter shit!?

Like defensive headers and crosses and passes going nowhere near where you've aimed them.

And shots floating pathetically towards goal even from players with 90+ for shot power. Bring back ISSPE shooting!

And the game's woefully easy. I haven't lost a game on 5* since November last year.

penalties are fixed eventually sumbody will miss , either hittin the post or puttin it wide sum where, they wud go on forever

I have noitced that the computer seem to knock you off the ball all the time they seem to have extra physical strenth or something i don't know but it is anoying.

I think that if there was a powerbar when taking penalties it would be better as you would be able to put more accuracy into them.

I think you guys are making a big thing out of nothing. Heres what i think of some points raised:

Ok, the ref does make some bad decisions, but i find i get just as many go my way as the opposition. I do however, feel that the ref does show the red card a little to often for what are clearly yellow card offences.

Penalty shoot-outs are not fixed, its just a bit of luck like real-life. Ive found that the computer certainly hasn't doesn't win more than me.

On stoppage time, a ref in real-life will usually wait for an attack to finish before blowing for full time, so i dont think this is unrealistic in PES3 if you get 10 corners in stoppage time.

And Free Kicks should be hard to score. We dont want it like FIFA with an arrow telling you where the ball will go. With practice i've found that i can score them fairly regularly
