Why So Many Players ?

i think 28 - 32 players is a bit too much , teams should only have 20 - 25 players (maximum) all these reserves in the game is good but there is too much , they do not even play in real life so why put them in the game , also if some1 is on loan example , manucho , simpson and campbell then thats 3 players already going back into man united , so if they had a 24 man squad , at least we would all still have spaces

specially in the other leagues teams , i noticed a few of them teams full up , like internacional , kiev , boca juniors and river plate

also for the custom teams , should be only 20 players instead of 23 (22 maximum) if there is 18 custom teams , 18 less players and will not make a difference , it means less free agents

20 players in custom teams , if we want anymore we can create them , would be a fair amount. 23 is way too much to be honest

people like ferry and riley from celtic fc , who are they honestly , no namers of course , so remove them please

also national teams , can you please sort the national teams out i noticed for austria it went like this : keeper , 2 defenders , midfielder ??? , defender , midfielder , defenders ??? lets keep it simple

it austria play 4-4-2 , keeper , FOUR defenders , FOUR midfielders then TWO strikers and then the subs

tbh, i think there should be more players allowed in a squad. If a team has the maximum number of players in its squad, say Man Utd, and the buy michael owen, gabriel obertan and antonio valencia and sell ronaldo (so 2 extra spaces required) it is impossible to add all 3 players when editing the team.

mmm. there's no limmits to squad sizes in real life, so surely the
only squads that should be limmited in size are the internationals.
a couple of years ago west ham had like 42 in their senior squad or
something

Yes, I would like to see a unlimited size of the teams too. Real Madrid for example. They will have more than 32 players, and all of them are pretty good.

but yeah i know what you mean about all the minor sides having like
nearly full squads, maybe trim them down a bit...

I don't think the actual squads need to be cut down in size at all, if anything we must encourage larger squads for a bigger roster of players from Konami. Either that, or adding more fringe players to each team, and creating the 1st team, and also a Reserve team - for example with Manchester United, Reserve team players would include the likes of Manucho, Gibson, Eckersley and others, because realistically no one will play them in the 1st team when playing.

However, substitute choices should differ, especially for competitive matches, or possibly use it as a difficulty tool. For example, when playing on Top Player in a Master League or any other competitive match, you have to choose just 5 players for your bench from your entire squad - while still only being allowed just 3 subs on the pitch. That way it might encourage a more tactical approach and versatile players might get credit, not only that the game will probably become a touch more difficult too.

The above two points I'd absolutely love to see.

Interesting idea about the subs. Definitely more realistic.

Also, I've been going on about needing upped overall squad size and/or an official Reserve team for ages. (It's probably my "pet" point. :blush: ) An optional Reserve league, too, or at least optional individual Reserve matches. Would be a huge positive contribution to dynamic of Master League.

yes but it wont happen , and its not a major thing , actually it would be okay if it did , 20 main teams in premier league and 20 reserve teams in 2nd division in master league
