Will the files I find here work for the USA version of the PS3?

I want to get this game tomorrow and transfer these files so I can have the EPL kits, etc. I was wondering if the files I find here be compatible with the USA version of the game(which I will be getting) or are they only compatible with the European version? Thanks in advance.

only the europe version youll have to edit yourself or wait until someone does an option file

Thats silly. The game just came out here, and there will be OF's for people soon. Have to give time for people to make them.

If you dont mind laggy online games vs people in Iceland, go head and buy the UK version.

last year in pes2008, there were a lot of optionfile for uk version, and a little for us version, that's the reason i buy a uk version of pes2009.

Last year you could only add 8 total kits to the game in PNG format. With this year being huge when it comes to editing you will see more OF out.

I'd rather have realistic kits, club names etc, than worry about lack-lustured online play.

Firstly realistic kits are here right now... just ad the png files to the teams and they look good. Take the little time and ad them youself. Or you could spend more money and import the exact same game from Europe. Your call.

Online, yes it could be laggy playing players here in the US.... you will be better online games playing people here then you will trying to find a non-laggy game there.

But be my guest, a option file that you yourself can make seems to be a pretty lame reason not to support the release of the game in this country.

If we both get the Euro version and we both live in the US, we really should get the US version instead because PES is region locked.

It's like taking a flight from NYC to Chicago - US airways does a direct flight - great!
But British Airways has a stopover in London - not great!

My suggestion is, if you live in the USA, your best bet is the US Version. There will be OF out, and the online game should be better playing people who live closer to you.

I had FIFA 2008 last year so I never had this issue before, but I want to ask if last year's PES had the same problem with the version & OF's?

yes last year you could not use a european option file with the Us version of the game and vice versa. when you would try and overwrite or rewrite the saved data to make it compatible it would make the files corrupt...
