Rivaldo is in PES5 but hes called Revant. I remember having to change his name and I think I had to change his face aswell but i'm not sure about that

Ohh shit, that was him?

I actually had him in my ML team for a while... weird. :)

Thanks for clearing it up though. He is just about to retire in my current ML so once he regenerates I intend to boost him to the fullest.

Why does my game freeze at the video point. I'm using HDAdvande 2.1 and I have tried all modes but it still just freeze when the WE video is? Why's that?

layed my first 4 games just now. Wow what a change.

First thing I have to say is that dribbling is back!! Players like Ronaldinho will dribble rings around the defence and puts them to shame. Its now easier to out dribble your defender as well as out pace him.

Defending is more difficult as a result. If you miss a tackle or make a mistake in defence you will be punished! I played against Barca in my second game, and on the counter numerous times, with Ronnie and Eto screaming towards my defence is very dangerous.

Passing is spot on, the L1+Triangle is now a very dangerous pass and the flow of the game is very smooth. Makes for some very beautiful football to watch.

Shooting animations are superb, as well as animations in general. Keeper has a few new saving animations which look pretty slick. They have been toned down though, so it is easier to score, but I love how they can now save the ball with one hand. Taking a few cracks outside the box, the keeper really stretches for it. Just when you think you've beating him, his hand just touches it enough to change the direction. Beautiful to watch.

My only gripes with it so far, is that it is a bit too fast. If it was slowed down a tad it be spot on. Ball speed and the weight is near perfect and running at full speed is good, but some of the dribbling animations are too quick. Players seem to snap direction instantly. If some of them could do it like Ronnie, C.Ronaldo etc then it be fine, but not everyone.
At one point, Beckham was out dribbling my defenders which looked and felt wrong.

Overall though a big improvement over 9. This probably should have been what WE9 was supposed to be.

This game is THE GAME! WE10

When PES3 came out, it took a bit time to get used to. Same with 4 and maybe more with 5, and for some PES5 just did'nt do it. I've also played WE games, and there was a big difference between we9 and pes5, i thought PES5 is a lot better.

But when i came my hands across WE10, all was forgotten, this is simply the best football game ever.

And to make such a judgement and having the game in japaneese is too good to be true. I didnt understand half of the new installments, in formation and the menu. But i saw there were lot of changes in the formation screen.

The gameplay is TIGHT!! It has taken dramatic changes, the ref (wich was uber shite in we9) is back on track, no uncalled fouls nor to many fouls, so the gameplay is more fluent than in previous games. Passing, both through passes and long passes are so muchmuchmuch better that i could cut my right leg for that.

New animations and improved licenses... Very good.. Cant have this post much longer, but will come with moere defentive post in comming days.

It's seems people are giving this game too much credit

i played like 14 games with my brother
and not a single one ended with less than six goals
it is too easy to score and dribble from my point of view

i'm just hoping now that i missed an option that makes the keepers dumb becuse of the japanese
Damn game
!?!

I have to agree that WE10 is a bit too easy at the moment! I mean I like to play a tactical game based on good passing and knowing how to defend as a team, rarely using the SQUARE button to just chase opposing players around. However WE10 has given the less skillful players the opportunity to use one good player to dribble around the whole team and to defend only with the SQUARE button.

Although to counter my own statement pressing with SQUARE is now effective again(doesn't result in freekicks) and slide tackles can be utilised regularly it is just going to take time to adjust to using sliding tackles a lot more and pressing with SQUARE a lot more! Also it is a bit too easy for average players to change direction instantly!

Big improvements are the quick freekick, the likes of Henry can now outpace slow defenders without them catching up and if the defender tries to catch up the player uses their arm to fend them off. The refree allows the game to flow a hell of a lot more, and there is a more varied gameplay

I hope by PES6 they sort out that problem with the dribbling too

is it possible to play we10 with english language? so yes, what do i have to do then? because mine is japanese
apply fernandos transaltion patch...

ok ive played around 40 games so far anyway heres what I think; you may or may not agree with me because its a little contrary to the reviews posted so far:

+Referee lets you actually contest balls and every ball feels like a dogfight its great
+advantage rule is vastly improved (the little icon is gone but the referee does the actions with his hands)
+you need to build up attack through creative play
+AI is best thus far

The handball is back - tried to head the ball with ronaldinho and it hit his hand and other players were slapping their hands and the commentator said 'handboru' on japanese

The only thing that i have a problem with is that players dont really feel like theyre light on their feet they just feel really heavy i dont now why that is but yeah thats the only thing i hate really annoys me (please dont kill me for saying this) but it feels like im controlling a fifa player and im struggling to admit this to my self but thats just the way the players seem to respond

just finished my first 3 games on we10 so my first impressions well from the off you'll feel the new gameplay passing smoother really nice animations that flow perfectley throughout the match.after you finish a match as well as the usual star player you now get you'r overall best player of the match with a picture of him.

so whats really changed I played my first match on 3* now any one who played this on we9-pro evo 5 will know that the computer is relentless which some peoply did not like but I enjoyed the challenge. now it seem the computer has been castrated and lost the will to fight I ran from one end of the pitch to the other with ashley cole.this would never happen in we9, there are less calls for fouls and the game really flows tackling is harder with the step in tackle harder to pull off you can't just run in holding r1 and x any more instead I found trying to get in frount of the player then pressing x results in the best tackle.

the goalkeepers really have been dumbed down had a freekick with beckham curled the ball round the wall and it was straight down the gk throat but instead of catching the ball he just fell down in a heap and the ball flew in the shots seem slower but I guess i'll have to play the game more to get a better feel for it overall the game really is great but some of the old pro's out there might find it a bit easy and the ropey gk's annoying but I think konam has found the right balance to the game this year.
