The last few Japanese WE games have been released on August.
I would guess the early release of this new version has something to do with the xbox360 version.

I'm interested in whether this will affect the release date of PES6 - could it be earlier or maybe a bit later?

I think they're releasing the game this early just because of World Cup 2006. They'll sell way more units before the tournament. Winning Eleven 6 was released afer WC2002 and didn't sold very well. EA is releasing the official WC game in April, too.

And I think this is the real reason for no real "Final Evolution" game this year...

Is WE10 on the PS2? I heard it is... I think i'll skip the 360 version as i won't be able to play it until PES6 comes out anyway, since i have a PAL 360. I haven't heard of a swap disc for the 360 and i don't want a mod chip... If there are any yet.

[EDIT] Should've read the previous posts, glad it's on PS2. Still, is there any wy to get the NTSC-Jap WE10 working on my PAL 360 without a mod chip? I've Not heard of anything yet...

This is a little sad, the update is going to be a half improvement to what WE10 deserves... Konami are starting to follow the EA RUSH FOR CASH game plan.

Thankfully there isn't an official WE: World Cup version yet (but this is getting there).

I am guessing the reason they are releasing it so early is because they added World Cup 2006 national teams or new license teams.

If they are going to add the new World Cup 2006 teams there are only 4 so I'm not sure this addition will increase its sales. Maybe there are more international teams like those in the qualifying round. This will definitely generate some excitement. Hope that the weather effects like snow, rain and the empty front seats will all be rectified in this early release.

It all depends weather the game is multi region, if so it will play on your pal 360, but if not, it won't. This is assuming bthe game will actually be on the 360.
