Winning Eleven 2007....the best

Well the title says it all really.

I gave PES2009 a try.
I gave FIFA 09 a try.
Both for a few weeks.

Nothing...compared to 2007. I dont get it. I feel that WE 2007 has more gameplay variety when you play then either FIFA or PES the last two years.

I really mean it when I say that if WINNING ELEVEN 2007 ( Pes 6 ) came out today alongside FIFA 09 and PES 2009, it would get a higher rating....at least in the gameplay department.

I just dont understand why Konami changed so much....

heres hoping 2010 brings pes back...

btw I think PES 2009 is certainly on the right track for that.

yeh its just weird man....idk what konami is thinking. I traded both my pes2009 and fifa09 to get PES2007....its just a more fun game....

PES09 is a simplified game for casual gamers. I agree, PES6 was better.

Funny thing is that IF Konami put out a version of PES6 with PES09's graphics, it would trash both FIFA09 and PES09 Gameplay wise.

Not one of the Next Gen PES versions feels like PES, for me the series just lost its appeal.

Like I've said before, I used to be very interested in How PES would Evolve along with Next Gen Consoles.. Now I couldn't care less about PES09 or PES 2010, I've really lost all interest.

Though I still enjoy a game of PES6 every now and then.

Yeah it's clear that Konami is taking the casual route. Too bad for us I guess. I can never get used to FIFA and PES is starting to be too easy.

PS - I play PES6 on my xbox 360 although I have played the PS2 version as well. PS2 has more features and gameplay is almost identical. So yeah I dont have the edit mode and all that but I could care less honestly since playing the game itself is alot of fun.

Im not surprised to hear that. PES 2009 is not a bad game by any means. Its a good game in fact. I just dont feel that Konami intended that game for hardcore football fans....thats what bugs me the most. But I can see why you like the game, it is good. But like you said opinions are opinions and the best version in my opinion is PES6 ( 2007 ).

pes 2007 the best football game i have ever palyed but pes2009 is good too and even better in some points

the real advanteg for pes07 is the simplisty of the gameplay and its easier to score than pes09..

really? i had a easy time scoring in pes09 but in pes6 its harder to even get a shot off

I thought pes 6 was easier because of response being faster (maybe). In pes 6 I played on top player while in pes 09 I play on professional SO FAR.

That's the same problem I have with PES09, I find it easier than PES6.

In the PS2 version of PES6, be it for the responsiveness or other factors, when I played the game I felt I had to Think faster than when I play PES09. Somehow when I play PES6 I have to Think more.

Whereas in PES09 there's so much Space on the pitch that, I can afford to Think Slowly and get away with it. There's more Space on the pitch, which means there's more Time to Think, and the Defensive AI is guaranteed to leave Huge open gaps time after time. I find PES09 a more easier and straightforward game.

In PES09 I can slowly build my way into a 4-0 lead. I cannot do that in PES6, because in PES6 I'm forced into Thinking Faster. Something that makes PES6 a more realistic and addictive Football Sim.

When you say "easy time scoring" do you mean all your shots go in or you score when you feel like it. I'm asking this because when I shoot I can score but most of the times those shots give me the idea that I'm not the one who scored the shot but rather the cpu decided it was gonna be a goal. I also feel like if I scored a great goal, seconds later I'm usually wondering if it was lucky or not.
I have never experienced this in PES 6. BTW I loved PES 6 shooting, it was definitely something you had control over, MHO.

Yeah I know what you mean. In PES when I score I feel like i earned and I made it happen. In 2009 the CPU kinda decides if its going in or nor.....a shame
