hello futbol freaks. i read alot of new info regarding winning eleven 7 game. it will be released sometime in august this year. however do you have any information on if the game will be released and shipped to U.S ?? and one other thing in case they don't ship winning eleven 7 to U.S but i'm sure they will, if you buy the game order it online from europe will it work on PS2 the ones we have in u.s

I think they are pending sales results of WE6I, similar to what they did with PE, if it sells release a better version.

correct me if i'm wrong, winning eleven 6 came out in april 2002 only in japan. then it took them few months to send the game to europe, after that the game was avaliable in march 11, 2003 in united states. this means if they release game in the us. first they will have to modify the game in english because this game comes out in august will be written in japanese, then they will have to re-write the game to english..so even if they send the game to u.s it wont get here until march...or april next year.

There's always the chance that the US version can come out with the European one(s?). But since you just recently got WE6:I, it makes sense for it to be about a year for you to wait.

You could call them jerks if they never released it in the US at all.
You could be stuck with fifa forever!

I think you could either be patient or mod your PS2 to play WE7 when it comes out.
But you will be playing it eventually so don't worry.

this is what i've head. if you modify your PS2 with a modchip it can damage the internal electrical components of a gaming unit , and lead to a shorter system life.. so this means modchips kill PS2's like real fast..is this true..?

Hard to directly say, I have a modded system that's about 2 years old, and 1 that's about a year now. My friends have some as old as 4-5 years and they all work fine. So they probably do shorten system life, but does anyone know the estimated system life of a ps2?

Just the same as the knife trick, but the flip lid I will admit I don't know. Could always be exaggerated rumours that big corporations put out to stop any funny stuff, as they don't want to lose a penny. But to be honest I'm sure there is some truth to it, but in any case if you know people who can fit a chip they can probably repair your ps2 too. :)

Jay0, I bought a pre-chipped PS2 with Messiah 2 which I believed to be the safest option and I have had no problems so far. It is fully guaranteed in case anything does happen to it.

I was considering a flip top lid before that and it seems to work for a lot of people but I heard you could only use certain disks and the PS2 laser life was reduced. Not sure about that though.

eksol, 'system life' means how long your PS2 will last (or live). If you need more clarification, let us know.

Yep my latest system is like Zygalski which I send off to be fitted with a messiah 2 pro. With all the swapping disks (with the knife swap and flip lid), I guess I am just too lazy and just want to whack in the disk and for it to boot first time instead of messing around with a few disks. And it seems some versions of WE6FE don't seem to work on my friend's ps2 which is a flip lid while they work perfectly fine on mine.

All methods can be compared and you can choose whichever is best for you. Knife swap is the cheapest solution (provided you have an AR2 or equivalent), Flip lids seem to make a fair amount of noise for some reason, but they are easy to use once they have been fitted, relatively cheap too. Mod chips are the most expensive option, but you have more functionality.

thanks bro. i understood what "system life" was standing for however I didn't know what that represents. so without having your PS2 modified with a modchip etc.. how long your PS2 can stay "alive" permanently..?

i wanna add something.. this is so messed up... all this modchip, knife trick etc.. i might just get a PS2 fro europe... and when it arrives change the plug..and thats it.

I don't know how long a PS2 should last and maybe only Sony really knows or some technicians out there might.

It could depend on how much it is used, whether you use a lens cleaner or what position you store it in.
Or how much you beat it when you lose!

It would be hard to tell so I am also interested in hearing if anyone knows for sure.

This is gonna be a bit harder than modding my ps1!
