Hi all im thinking of holding a winning eleven tournament the last sunday of this month and poss every month if all goes well.
First of all i have an extension on the back of my house with a 8ft by 7ft multi media projector so you can imagine how good the game looks , ive also got a copy of winning eleven 7 and ive sussed most of the menus out so i can set a tournament up .
Now the other thing is the room is not massive so i would only be looking at no more than eight entries and i already have 2 friends that would be deffo so that would leave 5 places.
Also the reason for 8 would also be ideal to play a world cup tourny with 1 human player in each of the eight groups the fact that you can now move the controllers around (like fifa) on winning eleven 7 is great because everybodys can play even when its not they team for example
If i was england my first three group games i could play in order the three people sitting to my left or right one after another and so on so your not only trying to win with the team you get as your own but also trying to knock people out with a computer team.
I will think of some fair rules ie maybe you can make chances to the team you get as your own but not when playing as a computer team something a long those lines.
I live in stockton on tees just near middlesbrough so i could arrange a place for the 5 players to meet me and my mates then take you to my house i also think an entry fee and prize would make things a little more exciting say a £10 entry fee and either winner takes all or a first and runner up prize .
Myself and my mates who play regular are either in our late twenties and early thrity's (Big Kids My misses calls us) So i would perfer adults only entering as they can be a bit of banter which makes it more fun of course here is my e-mail addy so if you live near by and are up for it drop me a line [email protected]
Sorry though as i said i can only limit it to 5 so the first 5 serious players that can assure me they want to play on sunday 31st aug say starting about 12noon that would have to be it. I would expect it all to last say 8 people all having to play they 3 group games each thats 24 matches over 10 mins thats about 5 hours with the breaks ie fouls changes ect then the knock out stage say another couple of hours depending on how many qualify so it would finish about 7pm but playing as i explianed earlyer in thread even if you get knocked out you will still be able to have a say in knocking somebody else out in the knockout stage so it wouldn't be all over for you.
Regards
